No sexism meant but who pays for them to go on pre-season tour to America?

A mixture of local sponsorship and a lot of hard work fund-raising by the girls I would imagine.

Good luck to them. It will be a great trip.

Lot of money for a team that plays up Baglan on a Sunday afternoon in front of about 20 people in my opinion.

there is no way the club is funding it, that's for sure.

The club are not paying for it, in the traditional sense, but they will certainly be helping costs in regards to equipment and sponsorship

It should be a EPL law that all clubs run full academies for boys and girls and a senior women's set-up. Keeps them grounded in the community and ensures at least some of the obscene cash ends up supporting local grassroots football.

So, I, like others, am delighted if we support the women on their tours. Just hope next year's tour is to Barry Island to redress the balance.

Manchester United have refused to put together a womens side, and have been rightly hounded for it for years. Although now that Man City have a team you can only guess that it'll just be a matter of time..

Anything that helps spread the name Swansea City as a football club has to be a good thing surely.

Even if the ladies team tour is being subsidised by the male team it wouldn't bother me.

Shouldn't be forcing clubs to run any teams.

I'd like to see the club spend a small amount to assist and develop the ladies set-up. The relative cost must be minimal compared to the wages of our first teamers.
Does the Supporters Trust have a policy on the development of a ladies team ?

But how many people regularly watch their US opponents? That's a serious question and does anyone know? Women's football is big in the States.

Good luck to them anyway.

How very mean spirited of you. If they're using your season ticket money for the jolly it'll probably get them a box on a container ship.
