silverspringsaint added 17:52 - Feb 1 About to excoriate Tall Paul for his inability to stay onside and his general lack of mobility - and then he sticks it in the net in classic No. 9 style! Woo hoo! Ipswich were desperately poor defensively (their keeper!) so it would have been annoying not to have won that. New boys did well, Fernandes too. Those large holes still tend to appear from time to time, as with the goal, but we were more convincing on defence today. A pity with the points we threw away early in the season, as we are certainly not worse than the other two promoted teams. One game at a time though!

Now if only Wolves hadn't won (and looked good doing so, although their derby opponents Villa seem slightly lost these days), we'd be slightly better positioned in our four-team relegation-candidate mini-league. It remains odds on that we and our fellow promoted sides are set for the drop.

Hopefully this will help build confidence. Due to the injuries either ABK is in the mix or we switching to a back 4. To me, both those options may actually help us push on. COYR

In truth it was a game between two championship sides and I can't see any of the promoted sides avoiding relegation. Be nice if we got a bit closer in terms of points. I really wonder how poor ABK, Wood and Charlie Taylor must be in training if THB, Bree, Bednarek and Stephens are chosen in front of them.
