| Forum Thread | The lure of the premier league at 22:26 13 Dec 2017
The following isn't all the swans owners / managers fault but they must take a fair amount of blame. I am not sure I want to continue watching us have less than 30% possession against all the big boys like so far this season, Spurs away, Chelsea away, Man Utd home, Citeh Home, Gunners away etc This isn't football as I remember , Years ago the sides near the bottom generally gave the top teams a good game and had a go even if they ended up losing by 2 or 3, Tonight was awful, embarrassing and all but a full surrender. The financial advantage the big boys have over the likes of us is a big factor in the the issues above and that for me is the issue. If and when other clubs with the potential to join the current big boys ( Currently around six clubs) Can recruit like Chelsea etc then that's another set of games of attack v defence that doesn't interest me in the slightest. The likes of Everton, West Ham and Newcastle could well become to rich for us to compete with in the near future. I can't be the only swans fan who has little interest in defence v attack for X amount of games per season?. The poor signings last 2 seasons have not helped and Paul clement is somewhat over cautious and negative which is also a factor and he has appeared to have coached any flair and confidence out of a lot of our players. Long time season ticket holder just not enjoying the premier league last few seasons and not just despite we have been poor, I quite often don't watch the other games on MOTD as other smaller clubs are struggling to give the rich clubs any resemblance of a match. If things continue to evolve as they are in the coming seasons then I predict a lot of fans of the mid size and smaller clubs will walk away from the sport as it is becoming non competitive in many games. Our game tonight against admittedly a very good Citeh side reminded me of a third round cup tie between an old division one team and a Poor div 3 or 4 side very much like our game v Liverpool in 1990 ( might be wrong on the year ) Am I Wrong? |

Best place to stay for a good swill before and after?. Friends have suggested to stay in West London and get the tube over as the traffic is a nightmare over the east side Any advice or help would be greatly appreciated Happy new year to all |

Trying to sell subsidised match tickets to members of the swansea area cardiff development centres at play football last night. Weird that such a big club would need to do that don't you think? Leon britton up there last night too as his boy is with cardiff development [Post edited 23 Jan 2016 8:20]

| Forum Thread | season ticket / expansion at 12:56 21 Jan 2016
Got bit of an issue, there's now going to be a spare seat next to us next season as sister and partner have broke up and gratefully her ex partner gave me his st for reminder of season. I'd love to purchase this ticket for next season as I have 2 sons and only one child seat but I don't want to spend another 260 quid. Am I being cheeky in contacting the club to see if they would offer me a discount seeing as I have only just payed out around 660 quid for our current tickets?. I'd imagine the club struggling to sell one ticket on its own to anybody to sit with strangers (and idiots like me). Also as a side issue I noticed the ground was basically full for the watford game despite it being on the telly, just after Xmas and us struggling and against a less glamorous club. I firmly believe that we do need expansion but all under 16s tickets should be 100 quid for the season. |
| Forum Thread | The traditional halftime spliff at 12:03 19 Jan 2016
There's no other reason I can think of as to why we are so poor directly after halftime in the majority of games so far this season. We had a go forward can do attitude first half bit as soon as the second half kicked off the fullbacks immediately started being overly cautious (somewhat understandable yes) and passing back to either the centre backs or fabianski this meaning we were being hurried by Watfords front 2 and on many occasions last night nearly cost us. I'm Not just blaming the fullbacks for this as that was just an example as ki was equally if not more to blame too but a better team than Watford would have scored at least once last night from our negativity I'd rather our players (at present) if out of options play the ball down the flanks and channels and give the ball away in that way rather than play another player into trouble as happened again and again last night. I didn't envisage Watford creating from their own half last night and they were basically "old school watford" for me who created havoc in our back line and deep midfielders thru hard work , physicality and the odd late challenge. Basically all I'm saying is we need to STAY Being more positive thru the team. Watford didn't create anything last night but still could/ should have scored at least one with their efforts on goal all coming from us pissing about with the ball once negativity kicked in. Let's be bold, attack is the best form of defense.! |

Was informed today that the initial (planned) expansion is sold out to new season ticket holders, I must say if this is true I'm gobsmacked that the club have not mentioned it. Does anybody know of anyone who has paid to reserve a seat in a stand that may / may not ever get built as I don't know of anyone. |

To build/expand on the current east stand! !!. What happened to the whole expansion on 3 sides costing 15 million? This doesn't work out |
| Forum Thread | Eddie Grant at 17:48 7 Feb 2015
Not up to much is he? No anticapation and very little awareness, usually a second or so slow to react to a through ball and spends too much time on his arse for a big man. Nelson to start next game for me |
| Forum Thread | The updated East stand expansion planning at 15:06 25 Jan 2015
Any idea why it's not on the council's planning site. Only the initial extra 4k seats plan is there The newer plan was for 6 k extra seats |
| Forum Thread | Anyway in other news. stadium related at 18:21 17 Jan 2015
Was told today by someone who works at the ground that the expansion will be sorted for the start of next season but it's not gonna be on the east stand as first thought. It's the south stand that is having the major works done with up to 5000 extra seats going in covering the south/East corner in the build. must be a financial decision as no doubt it's cheaper to expand that than the far bigger East. Let's hope it's true. Make of it what you will. |

Our attack minded right back whose consistent performances for many a season is starting to slow down, Tis a sad day that the infamous dyer and angel partnership is coming to its end. He is starting to get caught flat footed and square far too often at this level, gonna miss him big time. Don't get me wrong he ain't totally finished just we need better ASAP , someone with true pace and maybe a bit nastier. It's been a pleasure nookie bear. Big love [Post edited 26 Mar 2014 8:28]

| Forum Thread | My problem with Michael at 07:59 4 Feb 2014
And I have felt this way since the start of the season is that I feel he is always planning on the following fixture not the current game. This not concentrating fully on the present fixture is mind boggling and must be difficult on the players who no doubt would have been used to a "go out and give your all but enjoy yourselves " attitude under Brendan. Examples of this are shown throughout the season in over rotating the squad and appearing to pick a weaker starting 11 for a lot of games and picking a stronger team for the following game which has backfired massively . He attitude to the Big 8 as he put it hasn't helped either. We can't afford to throw away 16 "un winnable games" per season and expect to survive. The away win at Valencia glossed over a very below par early part of the season in which we only really performed against a at the time very very poor crystal palace. It's plan to see our tactics have changed since Brendan's press the oppo when we don't have the ball which suited us and also got the crowd going too. Performance have been flat in general Newcastle apart and I have not enjoyed watching us this season. Our inability to counter attack at pace is a massive worry and it seems the players are more comfortable in waiting for the opposition to reform before we try and get in on goal. Things need to change pronto, no doubt we have the quality but do we have the heart. Only time will tell SCFC. More than a club |
