As we complete the 9th week of the Interim Board having had day-to-day responsibility for management of BFC I want to say how proud I am to see how far we’ve come as a club from the standing start we faced back on 25th February.
It’s been a privilege to work with everyone at the Club but particularly Michael, Ben and Ian as we try to direct our great club through the receivership and onto new ownership.
We haven’t got everything right and it would be naïve to believe we would however I know hand on heart that individually and collectively we’ve done our best in very challenging circumstances whilst offering an unparalleled level of transparency to BFC fans as to our aims, remit, the restrictions we are under and finances.
We have seen criticisms this week over junior ST pricing and it’s been reassuring to me to see the reaction to that from Michael and Ben in extending the £75 discounted junior season ticket price so as to allow family groups to continue to sit together.
I hope that now this concession has been offered everyone now feels able to support the Interim Board in their ST pricing. I urge you all to get behind us and purchase your ST’s so that we can deliver what BFC needs on and off the pitch.

The Interim Board have tasked me with organising a fans forum to assist them with understanding our requirements as fans as we look forward and start planning for next season.
Ben Hatton, Michael Bolingbroke and myself are all confirmed to attend. If Ian Currie is available he will attend as well.
Topics under discussion will include season ticket pricing, travel, requirements of exiles, stand allocation, communication, community engagement, the appointment of an SLO and what can be done to deliver the best matchday experience.
The forum will be held at Rowley’s on Wednesday 27th March commencing at 7pm and will strictly be by invitation only. Non-alcoholic refreshments will be provided.
In order to make the discussion as productive as possible the number of attendees will be limited to 50 to include committee members from BST, BSA, The Muckers and representatives from BASIL, Yorkshire Seasiders, Leyland and Chorley and the TKs.
Having received feedback from those groups I have allocated the places available as follows —
BST/BSA/THE MUCKERS — 4 committee places each
BASIL / YORKSHIRE / LEYLAND AND CHORLEY AND TK’s - 2 committee places each.
In addition BST/BSA/THE MUCKERS will be able to nominate up to 4 additional members each.
I require names / addresses / ages for all attendees and also an indication as to whether (boycott period aside) they have been ST holders and if so for how long.
This information is only being sought for demographic purposes.
Assuming the committee members and general members allocation is fully subscribed that brings us to 32.
I am also going to allocate one place to a disability representative (I have asked Chris Beveridge to attend or nominate).
The remaining 17 places ( and any additional places that come available if any of the groups don’t use their full allocation ) will be made available to the general fan base whether affiliated to a particular group or not.
Assuming there is sufficient interest I will look to allocate fair share to U18’s and Seniors.
Anyone other than serving committee members of the above can email me on timfielding82@icloud.com providing the same information I seek of the fans groups nominations to register their interest in attending . If I am over-subscribed I will draw lots.
The deadline for nominations for the open places is Thursday next 7pm.
Hopefully I will see some of you at Burton tomorrow.

Whilst current duties have necessitated a sabbatical for ‘ TAM ‘ I couldn’t let today pass without thanking everyone for their support and kind words since my appointment.
It’s very much appreciated.
9/3/19 is the day we have all being waiting for. There will likely be more BFC fans at Bloomfield Road today than at any home game since 1977 which is going to be incredible to see. I can’t believe it’s here to be honest. It seems only yesterday we first met in the Jag Lounge and formed SISA.
Despite being in the club every day over the last two weeks I’m still in awe at how quickly things have moved on. Hopefully you will see some of those changes today. All the staff at BFC and the army of volunteers deserve a huge pat on the back for all they have done.
Terry, the coaching team and the players have also been incredibly supportive.Today they will see the support they richly deserve.
On a personal level I’d like to thank every BFC fan who had played their part in bringing us to this momentous day. There are too many to mention. It’s quite humbling when you see how committed everyone has been and continues to be to the cause - most recently demonstrated by the Herculean efforts to clean the ground this week.
Now we need to move forward as one. All that’s gone before must be left in the past. Only by coming together can we make our club great again.
We have a huge task on our hands. Ben, Ian and Mike and all at BFC need our unwavering support to achieve that.
Over the last 4 years BFC fans have shown the footballing world that they are a force to be reckoned with, determinedly campaigning for change both at our club and on the national stage. Now we have the platform to show all we can do in a truly positive way.
I was asked recently when I’d say ‘ job done ‘ and I replied ‘ When away fans say that they wish their club was run like ours ‘
Let that be the aim.

We are very pleased to announce that Terry McPhillips will be at the BST meeting tomorrow. Terry will be there for the start of the meeting until approximately 11.15am and is happy to answer fans' questions in the time available.
For Terry and the team, having the full backing of Blackpool fans at Bloomfield Rd is long overdue. He already knows that we are just waiting in our thousands to return, so let's give him a real Blackpool welcome at the start of this new era for our club. |

Following further discussions with the Court Appointed Receiver (‘ CAR ‘) , it is now clear that control of Blackpool FC has not yet been transferred to the CAR and it is not yet known when this will happen. The legal process regarding the order made by the Court is not yet complete and therefore it is necessary for Blackpool fans who are concerned about when to break the boycott to remain patient for a little while longer.
It is possible that the CAR will take control of the club at some point next week but exactly when is impossible to say at this stage and therefore any tickets purchased for the next home game against Oxford on 23rd February cannot be guaranteed to be NAPM compliant.
The basic conditions required for a return to Bloomfield Rd for most boycotting fans are:
1. A guarantee that ticket revenues will not end up in Oyston hands
2. A new board in place with no Oyston control
At this moment these conditions have not been met.
It is also necessary for supporters to understand that if Owen Oyston is able to pay the full debt owed to Valeri Belokon before the football club is sold, the debt is discharged and he will be able to resume control. Whilst this is a highly unlikely scenario, given that he has had 15 months to do this and is being charged interest at a rate of £5000 per day for every day the debt is outstanding, nevertheless it is important for supporters to know that this remains a risk.
A further issue is the possibility that once the club and other assets are sold and the debt discharged, Valeri Belokon’s shares could revert to Owen Oyston, leaving him with a 20% share in the club. Again, this is unlikely to happen but is a possibility.
With these points in mind Blackpool Supporters’ Trust, the Tangerine Knights and the Muckers Supporters’ Group offer the following advice:
As soon as we know that the CAR has complete control of the football club, we suggest that supporters return to Bloomfield Rd on a game by game basis. In the unlikely event of any future Oyston involvement, the boycott can resume. It is important that we make it clear that we are only returning when the basic conditions are met and if this changes for any reason, the Not A Penny More campaign will continue.
We know that this is disappointing as we all want to get back to our home ground as soon as possible. Having waited for so long, it would make no sense to break NAPM for the sake of a few more weeks. It is likely that the home game against Southend on 9th March can be the target game for the return of the fans and plans for this will be put in place as soon as we have assurances that the CAR has assumed control of the football club.
The next BST Open Members’ Meeting is on Saturday 23rd February at the Village Hotel, Blackpool starting at 11am. It will be attended by Paul Cooper who will be able to offer further clarity about the role of the CAR. In addition, the BST committee will be able to give more detail about the court proceedings that took place on Wednesday. This meeting is open to ALL .
Fans’ representatives are holding a preliminary meeting with the CAR on Monday and have identified a range of issues to discuss with him, having already provided him with a written brief before the court hearing on Wednesday. We will provide updates to supporters on a regular basis, whenever we have them.
Given the euphoria surrounding Wednesday’s court decision, it is understandable that people want to rush back immediately. However, legal processes take time and we must allow the court and the CAR time to do their job and make our club Oyston free before we lift the boycott. We have worked too hard for too long to mess this up now.

Is there anyone on here who wouldn't take that hit to be certain of being rid of our No 1 fan ?
Spoke to Fred about this a few weeks ago and his view at the time as that it was too high a price - hopefully my feedback as to what it would mean may have given him food for thought
Plus our recent results suggest we can avoid relegation even if the deduction is applied so the risk is lessened in my eyes as compared with when we spoke
Personally I'd take relegation every day if it guaranteed an Oyston free BFC albeit I'd rather we didn't but the priority as I see it must to remove the family Nothing should delay that for me
Thoughts?

EFL PROPOSAL
It is well-documented that, based upon our own interpretation of the Owners and Directors Test (‘ODT’), the EFL should have banned Owen Oyston from owning Blackpool FC based upon his historic conviction for rape.
Our interpretation was of course shared by the EPL who confirmed that Owen failed their equivalent test back in 2010 and demanded that he sell his controlling interest in the club. Regrettably however they failed to follow up on this until it was too late — relegation loomed and the problem solved itself.
As ‘ illegitimately stripping ‘ a football club of its assets isn’t actionable under the ODT we have over the last 12 months or so repeatedly pressed the EFL to apply their own rules in an attempt to force Owen into a position where he had to sell Blackpool.
The EFL’s response both at the meeting with Shaun Harvey last March and thereafter has been to claim that the ODT is not to be applied retrospectively. We disagree and believe the EFL have misinterpreted their own rules — the ‘not to be retrospectively applied‘ only seems to relate to insolvency offences, not unspent convictions of 12 months or more and/or those who are registered offenders as defined by the rules.
All attempts to persuade the EFL to review their position have so far been unsuccessful. Similarly we have found it difficult to secure the support of the ‘ heavyweight ‘ national journalists to pursue the issue as they seem to be reluctant to take the EFL to task in view of the confusion over what the ODT actually says on this point.
Following a suggestion put forward on social media, we have looked into the option of commissioning an expert in sports law to provide a written opinion on the discrete point of the EFL’s position regarding the application of the ODT to the case of Owen and Blackpool FC.
We have recently approached an organisation called Sports Resolutions who have confirmed that they are willing to task one of their Panel Arbitrators to provide that opinion. We’ve specifically approach this organisation because of its pre-eminent position in the world of sport and more specifically football. The EFL themselves have used Sports Resolutions in the past and we think it would be difficult therefore for the EFL to summarily dismiss such expert opinion
We also believe the national journalists will be more likely to start asking their own questions of the EFL if we supply them with a definitive legal opinion on the EFL’s interpretation of the ODT.
Assuming we wanted to instruct a QC the cost is estimated at £2000 — a lot of money.
So at this stage we are looking to canvass opinions on what we should do.
Is this an initiative fans would like to see pursued and, if so, is this something that BST should take a lead on? If the answer to that is yes how should it be funded?
The funding options as we see them are:
1/ BST reserves — this would require prior authorisation from the membership in view of the cost. We’d need to put it to the vote and that could take time.
2/ Crowdfunding — fans could ‘chip in’ and when we’ve raised sufficient funds we’d instruct Sport Resolutions to proceed.
3/ One or more businesses / individuals might sponsor the initiative.
Feedback on the principle of whether BST should pursue this further and the appropriate funding option is requested to secretary@blackpoolsupporterstrust.com
In the interests of time, this matter is being aired on social media now but the above information will be included in BST’s January Newsletter to all members early next week.

Are we looking at the start a Tangerine Spring ?
Or is it an attempt to curb the growing influence of fans groups ?
Applications appear on first read of the announcement to be subject to vetting by the Club
The statement seems to infer that anyone who doesn't renew their ST is unlikely to be considered so that's anyone taking a principled NAPM stance this season to the back of the queue ! That will undoubtedly influence the dynamics of representation
Who elects the Board Rep ? I suspect its within the cabal of hand-picked representatives in which case hardly democratic - more like a Fans Cabinet
Which Club officials will they meet ? It does say to be fair to include Club directors so in reality that's suggesting it will involve Karl or Owen
It will be interesting to see how this pans out

Just a short note from me to thank you all for your expressions of support, whether that's been communicated by way of posts on forums Facebook Twitter text or email.
At this time I just want to put on record how proud I am to have represented BFC fans both through SISA and latterly BST.
In my view a football club is its fans and everything that has happened in the last few days has only reinforced that belief.

On what's been a challenging weekend to be a BFC fan as one positive we did sell over BST 130 wristbands yesterday
I've still got a fair few and they make a great stocking filler for Xmas
If you don't already know all profits go to The Variety Club which does great work with disadvantaged children
I haven't the time to post out now however I'll sell them from my office from lunchtime tomorrow ( not before as I might not be in ) until 5pm Tuesday
For those that don't know that's 346 Lytham Road
They can also be picked up out of hours on Monday only from 338 Lytham Rd up until 630pm

( or indeed the previous three seasons before that )
Any ? Miller on his day ? Cubero ( we haven't seen so jury is out ) ? Orlandi ?
If any of the above I'd say max 1-2 of the 3
And there lies Riga's problem
If we don't recruit quality between now and the end of the transfer window we are in serious trouble

If the Oyston's were to acknowledge the need to change and seek reconciliation with the fan base what one specific pledge would you need to see within their ' 10 Point Manifesto For Change ' to give them the benefit of the doubt ?
I'll start with
1/ Ring-fence £7.5m for the development of a state of art training ground to be designed in a way that also lends itself to be a real community hub
I'll resist the temptation to add to the list and leave that to others
