| Forum Thread | Paul Scott? Claims to be an ex-Swan? at 19:38 20 Apr 2023
Played walking football against a bloke today (in Northampton) who claimed he was on Swans books mid-80s. Name of Paul Scott. Anyone recall him or is he bullshitting me after I nutmegged him?!?! |

Is it on? Any idea if Coventry can fulfil the fixture? |
| Forum Thread | Swans TV live streams next season ? at 21:41 2 Jul 2021
Any thoughts on whether the club will provide live match streams again next season ? It will be great to have fans back in the stadium but talk of ticket ballots suggest vastly reduced crowd limits. Revenue from a live stream for the majority of ticketless fans must look likely again, particularly early season. Attendance remains a waiting game until the Welsh Government decide what to do about footy fans. |
| Forum Thread | Remaining fixtures at 21:40 6 Feb 2021
Two games a week now, every week until April .... Our remaining home games are with Forest, Coventry, Brizzle,Boro, Scummers, Preston, Wycombe, QPR and Derby (in that order). Away games left are Sheff Weds, Huddersfield, Stoke, Blackburn, Luton, Bournemouth, Birmingham, Millwall, Reading and Watford. There’s a week preparation between Reading (a), Derby (h) and Watford (a) unless we’ve had rearranged to slot in (ie: if we progress in FA Cup). IMO, all home games are winnable, in theory, but I’m sure we’ll drop pts at home somewhere in a long season). So .... that’s 8 x 3 pts = 24 pts So ... can we win 4 of our 10 away games ? 4 x 3 = 12 pts 3 away draws (= 3 pts) particularly v Reading, Watford & Bournemouth will be welcome !! Which takes us up to 92 pts. Will this be enough? Will Brentford and Norwich muster 92 pts? What are your thoughts ? |
| Forum Thread | Promotion Strength Squad ??? at 17:23 8 Aug 2019
Let's consider Ayew, Carroll, Montero don't find suitors, get fit, stay fit and give their commitment to the cause and consider if Steve Cooper gets a tune out of them. Let's consider VDH stays all season. Let's consider the new signings gel, play well and find their feet in the team and the league. Let's consider last years U23s utilise their undoubted talents and their extra years championship experience. All things being equal - a promotion strength squad |

Decent start by Potter and our young team. Can only grow stronger as the season continues. Few key men to come back from injury and strengthen us further. COYS |
| Forum Thread | The easy way out of Huw’s financial mess is to get promoted !!! at 11:44 9 Aug 2018
Whatever the financial side of relegation and whatever the success of trimming wages, offloading high earning unachievers and rebuilding the squad, the easiest way out of this mess is to get promoted !! Keep Fede, get Bony & Fer fit and firing, get the team playing the way Potter wants it to, have a bit of luck and I’d be hopeful we can do something this season .... Not saying we’re going up but given the above scenario I’m positive we can give it a good go and get out of this financial mess. |
| Forum Thread | Pre-season friendly announced at 22:20 6 Jun 2018
Barry Town United (a) Tuesday 24th July 7.45pm KO Sociable, friendly, welcoming, vocal and knowledgeable crowd at Barry. Top notch social club too (£3 a pint). Very family orientated, child friendly. Why not have a day trip to Barry Island (Barrybados) with the game on the way home. Well worth a visit [Post edited 6 Jun 2018 22:23]

5 more wins takes us to 38 points Add a few draws and this should be enough, surely ?! |
| Forum Thread | Was Clement offered a job (that he turned down) ? at 12:34 6 Dec 2017
had a chat with a guy who claims to know a member of Clement's close family - told me Clement was a man in demand after keeping us up last season and that he was offered two jobs at Prem clubs, turned one down without discussion and turned the other one down after discussions with our Board. If true (and nothing my contact says suggests it isn't true) then is this the reason for the Board supposedly backing by Clement through thick and thin , maybe because he was promised this when offered another job. |
| Forum Thread | Halloween Party costume. Any ideas ? at 22:39 18 Oct 2017
Looking for some costume ideas. I’m going to a Halloween party but I’m currently short of ideas for a suitable home-made fancy dress costume. All adults attending so no need for anything toned down or PC. Hoping someone out there in Planet Swans Land can offer some ideas. Thanks in advance.

| Forum Thread | Me playing devil's advocate ! at 23:57 3 Oct 2016
Just a few points.... Just putting them out there for discussion.. 1 - was Guido's grovelling apology to Taylor the act that sealed his fate ? Like, did the board perceive him as weak and pandering to players? Should a manager simply say (in public) "I am the manager, I am paid to make decisions & I am the one who carries the responsibility for those decisions. I don't have to explain them to a player, especially one who hasn't trained or played thus season". Bradley has a reputation for discipline and strong leadership. You can't have a weak manager ! 2 - are the board being 'ruthless' and not shying away from making tough decisions ? In my opinion it's about time we had a board prepared to make a tough call and not namby pamby around being scared of the local PR 3 - Is the HJ comment "we are happy with the summer additions" a coded way of saying Guido had failed to get the best out of the current squad ? I believe we have a weak 'squad' but have more than enough quality to stay up at a canter. Guido's tactics and team selections did not utilise the players and that had to be addressed. 4 - we will stay up with 44+ points [Post edited 4 Oct 2016 0:02]
