Week 19 results CRYSTAL PALACE 1 LIVERPOOL 2 Mohamed Salah scored his 200th Liverpool goal, as Harvey Elliot gets a 91st minute winner, as they came from behind to beat 10-man Palace, to move top of the Premier League. A magnificent 7 got this spot-on, and a further 18 had the outcome. BRIGHTON & HOVE ALBION 1 BURNLEY 1 29 shots with 11 on target for Brighton, but they needed Simon Adingra's second-half header to get just a draw. No points for anybody from this game, with 25 predicting a win for Brighton. MANCHESTER UNITED 0 AFC BOURNEMOUTH 3 United were booed off after they suffered a humiliating hammering to a Bournemouth side who recorded their first win at Old Trafford. Nobody got this spot-on, and only unitedwhites had the outcome. 24 predicted a win for United. BLACKBURN ROVERS 0 LEEDS UNITED 2 Daniel James grabbed his third goal in three games as in-form Leeds made it six Championship wins from seven games with a clinical performance at Ewood Park. Nobody had this spot-on, but 17 did get the outcome, with 12 going for a 2-1 in what was the weeks most predicted score. SUNDERLAND 2 WEST BROMWICH ALBION 1 Managerless Sunderland got back on the winning trail at the first attempt following Tony Mowbray's departure, as they deservedly beat West Brom, who scored with their only shot on target. A super 6 got this spot-on, and one more had the outcome. MIDDLEBOROUGH 0 IPSWICH TOWN 2 Conor Chaplin's deflected first-half strike set Ipswich on their way to a 15th win in 20 Championship games, as Middlesbrough slipped to a third loss in four matches, after only having one shot on target. Only 2 had this spot-on, and another 12 got the outcome. NORWICH CITY 0 PRESTON NORTH END 0 Preston ended a run of three successive league defeats as a battling performance earned them a point in this bore draw, despite only having one shot on target. Well done to Moor_Pinot for being the only one to get this spot-on, and 4 more had the outcome. 18 predicted a win for Norwich. QUEENS PARK RANGERS 2 HULL CITY 0 Queens Park Rangers' resurgence continued as this victory gave them their third successive Championship win. Only 2 had this spot-on, and a further 9 got the outcome. CHARLTON ATHLETIC 2 CAMBRIDGE UNITED 2 Gassan Ahadme scored two late goals, in the 87th and 96th minutes, to earn new Cambridge head coach Neil Harris a point in his first game in charge. Nobody got this spot-on, and only Daniel and Lewis_1 had the outcome. 22 predicted a win for Charlton. READING 1 BARNSLEY 3 Barnsley's push for the League One play-offs received a boost when they came from behind to win at relegation-threatened Reading. Well done to Madeira163 for being the only one to have this spot-on, and another 21 got the outcome. A week in which we reached the half-way stage of the season, started well, with no fixtures from League 2, avoiding the chance of getting one of the five postponed fixtures from that division. Then it got even better, when the three early kick-offs gave us 13 spot-ons, and 36 outcomes. But it couldn't last, and things rather fell away in the final seven fixtures, with only a further 6 spot-ons, and another 49 outcomes. Overall a respectable week, and five members did well to get two 3 pointers, with the top performance coming from mfb_cufc, who had the 2-1 wins for Liverpool and Sunderland, and four outcomes, to make him the weeks top scorer with a useful 10 points. The other four all from Division One were burnsieespana and Colukev, who also had those 2-1 wins for Liverpool and Sunderland, bwildered, who got the wins for Sunderland and Ipswich, and finally gerry_us, who had the 2-0 wins for Ipswich and QPR. They each also got three outcomes, to give them all an excellent 9 points. Best of those to get one 3 pointer was basher2010, who had the Liverpool 2-1, and four outcomes to give him a decent 7 points. A special mention for Lewis_1 for getting an impressive seven outcomes. As we are at the half-way stage, time to look at how the season has gone so far. The 138 games have finished with 59 (42.753%) home wins, 48 (34.783%) away wins, and 31 (22.464%) draws. The top result, despite the draws being down on historical levels, is the 1-1, with 15. Then it is the 0-1 on 13, followed by the top results for a home, the 2-0 and 2-1, and the 1-2 all on 12. With the homes slightly above historic levels, it is surprising the 1-0 is only equal sixth on 9. Happy Cup Details of the draw and fixtures for the Quarter-finals will be out next Thursday. U'sual Champions League With only three weeks, and 22 games, to go before we find out who this seasons qualifiers are, the member currently in the important eleventh position is BFG with his 85 points. There are two members within 4 points of that total, but it is going to require a big week or two for anyone else to qualify. In the Premier It is the two brothers who lead the way now, as four outcomes keep concordman top, and the top scoring performance from mfb_cufc moves him up three places to a season high second. A solid 6 points for blueeagle, that included having the Liverpool 2-1 spot-on, keeps him third for the third week running. Outcomes for unitedwhites and thrillseeker, and they drop to fourth and fifth. The positions for the rest of the division remain the same for the fourth week in a row. But at least RSCOSWORTH did get a 3 pointer, the Liverpool 2-1, after going four weeks without one. A 3 pointer also for Sector4, the QPR 2-0, and Moor_Pinot, that good Norwich 0-0 prediction, moved all three a point nearer to noah4x4, who took his run without a 3 pointer to six weeks. In Division One This has been a far more active league, with a lot of chopping and changing of places, but not at the summit, as the decent week for basher2010 took his run at the top to eight weeks. Four outcomes were enough for Daniel to remain in the other automatic spot for the third week in a row. This is where the stability ends, with plenty of changes in the rest of the league. The excellent weeks for burnsieespana and Colukev moved them both up four places to third and fourth, only separated by the first to post rule. In turn they are only ahead of Jorash63 on the most 3 pointer rule, as he remains fifth, after getting the Liverpool 2-1 spot-on. Only a point further back in the final play-off place is Blue4U2, just ahead of BFG on the most 3 pointer rule, as they both drop three places. Lots of changes, but only one point separates 3rd to 7th. Did TheRams peak too soon? After a slow start to the season, that saw him still bottom after Week 6, a tremendous run took him as high as second only three weeks ago. But no 3 pointer since then, has dropped him to eighth, though still only 3 points from third. The excellent week for bwildered only moved him up a place, but more importantly 3 points nearer to the play-offs. "I'm heading for a trophy 🏆!!!" said gerry_us, referring to the wooden spoon, but an excellent week moved him up three places, and any more weeks like this, and the trophy could be a place in the play-offs. Another to make a quote was wessex_exile, who said "Disappearing fast without a trace at this rate - time to turn things around hopefully!" Well, he did get his first 3 pointer in nine weeks, the Suderland 2-1, but it didn't stop him dropping another place. The impressive seven outcomes for Lewis_1, was not enough to stop him dropping a place as well. THE TABLES (138 out of 280 played) (Tie-breaker: Most 3 pointers, and then the first to post) Week 20 Fixtures We go to town for this weeks fixtures.
