Cheers ECB, you know my attitude, if you play badly you can't hide behind excuses. But for a winning captain to say something like that is disgraceful. His press conferences are excruciating as well. A little shit he his, I thought he was better than that.
Go to a pub and tell a punter, bar staff or bouncer to get ready for a broken arm and see what happens.
Sorry wound up. Bloody sport..... " A Glorious irrelevance" ha ha
Atleast aust, won, i am not happy with this, i think England need some efforts for win this . but they not.....
This comes as no surprise at all - he clearly is off his game and it's probably better that he comes home. He's not been one to crack under pressure before, but I can't imagine that constant fielding in the deep has been a barrell of laughs for him either. Who will the draft in?

I wonder will they hold fire and see if Ballance will deliver the goods.
Otherwise I suppose Compton or Taylor are the likely lads.
Sorry to hear about Trott, I sympathise with his plight. Trscothick has given a very good interview about depression on Radio 5 earlier this morning.....BUT will the aussies have the class to understand his condition??

I'm thinking Bairstow in at no.6?
I think he'll get the nod although I'd like to see stokes get in as he can give another bowling option I think they'll go Bairstow as the batting was the problem in the 1st test
The trott situation reminds me of when trescothick left the India tour after the ashes tour in 2005, could be very difficult for him to return from this

I was thinking the same thing, but in all honestly his health is more of a concern....England will sorely miss him if he doesn't return, an on form Trott is a huge asset to the team.

Time I get home from Newcastle game the 2nd test will start Could be tasty....
Not helped by poor selection. Did I say poor - I meant f*cking moronic.
It should be obvious by now that Root isn't a 3 (lacks the techique, concentration and shot selection) and WTF are they doing giving Stokes a debut in this game? I went to bed after KP (sh1t for brains) was out - that lower middle order was suicidal and I saw it coming a mile off. Prior should have been binned long ago and one spinner should have been enough.
Ah bollox...

I suppose 3-0 flattered us in the summer But they look shellshocked, trouble is I'm not sure any of the other tourists are going to be any better when the likes of prior are dropped

Root was like a rabbit in the headlights this morning, Pieterson doesn't seem to have the fight in him either, the shot he made in getting out was that of a No10 or No11 ffs.
Was suprised to see the Aussies not enforcing the follow on with Johnson on fire, I doubt very much that he was tired, lol
Surely most of the blame lies with the management, they've allowed the players to become far to comfortable and complacent they strut around like fuking film stars, they are though, still the same same side for the most part anyway that have consistently won Test matches, so these last 2 performances have been very disappointing.

This a very real wake up call to that complacency, if they come back and win the series from here or just retain the ashes it will be a miracle

Say what you like but if you wanted one batsman to just stay there and bat the game out it would have to be Boycott. Not pretty, obnoxious and opinionated but there again so is Pietersen
