Thing is, run rate is ok. We're hitting boundaries and from the sounds of it, they've not bowled amazing. Cheap (ish) wickets. It's typical of England really.
The gamble on batting isn't, I think on the conditions today / tomorrow etc. It will come off if and it's a big IF Swann fines turn on the 4th innings. If he does, we'll win. If not, big questions for Cook.
It was a dry pitch with gaps appearing so can understand why he batted first. | |

Winning the toss and batting shows intent, remember Brisbane and Nasser deciding to field? As it turned out it was probably a toss to lose, think we would have caused them a lot of problems with our swing bowling in those early conditions. It was the right call at the time though
