So when would you 'pull the trigger'? 12:24 - Feb 12 with 16786 viewsRangersDave

Ok, we know we arent great, we know the manager cant seem to drum a work ethic into the players, and we know we are 'xxx' bad games from relegation.

i certainly hope LF has a 'cut loose' clause built into NC's contract if we got relegated.

However, i'm garnering opinions please...

If we are 6 games from the end of the season, and there's a chance to stay up, on current form, and managerial attitude would you

1) keep Critchley no matter what?

2) get rid now even if it costs because relegation is unthinkable?

3) A suggestion of your own?

my view is if we are going to do anything, we dont wait too long, as getting someone in who has the fight and desire to keep us up may be a tricky thing, and i certainly dont want to be in a position where we have to win one of the last 4 to stay up, as half the team may already be 'on the beach' even if they arent now.

This the same Chris Martin that we were all so bemused about signing a few days ago?

Admit I expected him to start but Armstrong was also giving them something to think about - his best performance so far.

Barely a mention of Beale whose fault all this is.....

Look at the team that played Bristol city in October that Clive says was the best first half he has seen for a while from us

Centre backs Balogun and Clarke Salter both "injured" since Critchely came - Willock - nowhere near the same player after coming back from injury, Johansen also just back from injury. Iroegbunam and Roberts both Beale introductions who either have lost form, cannot be arsed or don't want to be here since he left.

Richards and Amos also injured

That is 6 of the team! Nathan Jones spent 60 Million - Critchley bought In Jamal and Martin (who has started one game as a sub!)

Critchley has almost no options.

This was always about seeing out the season and rebuilding in the summer, very unlikely to go down - even the bookies have us at 33/1

Got to agree. The squad is an embarrassment. We need to start getting proper Championship players in next season, rather than sicknotes who I assume were bought to 'develop' for the Premier League. No point doing that if they play one match every few months. Get to the end of the season, clear the sicknotes out, hand Les his P45 and let the manager mould his team.

And then what? Who is coming in to replace them?

I think Les probably does need to go at the end of the season but can't see how more upheaval and uncertainty will help at the moment

I'd pull the trigger on the loans plus Balogun too. Waste of money all of them. They don't care and too many of 'Beale's boys' amongst them.

In contrast, Paal is digging in, fair play.

It can't get any worse unless we do nothing in which case we'll be relegated.

In any other line of work abject failure typically results in you losing your job. Neil has a 9% win rate and Les has contributed to this by failing to fulfil his remit and allowing Beale to load the team with his loans. Worse case scenario I'd settle for Les announcing his departure for the summer but go he must. He's had 8 years and it's just not working.

That's because Paal isn't on loan.

Agree that Les should go in the summer - it's a pity we can't get rid of a load of the players as they are the ones that are underperforming on the pitch

He absolutely has to go now. To keep him would be even more inept than his ability to motivate this team.

Never knowingly right.

It’s a good question but there must be someone out there with some organisational ability? It will get worse under Critchley. He’s lost the team. There’s absolutely no clue in the team as to what to do or how to play. I feel a bit for him because of the injuries but having sat opposite the dig out he is tactically inept. We may be f@cked if he goes anyway but we are definitely f@cked if he stays.

Never knowingly right.

Yes - his Blackpool team were great to watch and he did it on a tight budget. Our problems didn’t start when he walked through the door. The club is a mess and lacks any real leadership at Board level.

All I saw NC doing on the stream was writing notes into a note pad on the touchline....not exactly inspiring.
