Mate, sorry, I completely get it. I think you might have misread my tone, or I didn't make it clear enough so apologies.

I was finding it more amusing than being angry with the club about it. Just so very, very QPR that we've got some bloody jobbing SPL manager talking at length in his post match press conference about the medical history of our centre forward, and Charlie Austin's wife keeping the fans in the loop with pictures of him in an oxygen mask.

"Inside medical information on a player we sold almost 3 years ago? Yeah, sound pal, let me fill you in".

If Lyndon has had some sort of problem with his lungs since before he joined us, then I would never have guessed. Playing as a lone striker, he come back to defend set pieces, gets back up the pitch in double quick time and he seems to be able to run virtually all game.

Puts most of the others to shame. Chair, Dunne and Field seem to be the only other ones constantly giving their all.

All a bit strange.

What's surely more weird (and probably contributes to some of the unsavoury excesses on Tw*tter) is the club turning what could be a straightforward, short report to the fans about what his illness is, how he's doing, and how long he's likely to be laid up into some kind of Lars von Trier-esque intrigue. Even Critchley seems to have been instructed in QPR's love of smoke and mirrors, talking in his interview about how he doesn't want to get into speculating about this sickness or that etc. Why is football like this? It's freakin' ridiculous.

Meanwhile, in what passes for our professional strike force, we now have an OK loanee at best (assuming he stays in one piece) and a raw youngster who may or may not be going out on loan at any time, and hardly seems to feature regardless, 'leading the line'. Perhaps someone at the club could kindly explain how fans are supposed to get behind a recruitment policy like this? I genuinely can't remember such a trough in decades. Right now, if Mark Hateley turned up in a wheelchair cupping both ears, pushed by the ghost of Ray Wilkins, I'd be dancing on Shepherds Bush Green.
