Footballers an£ greed on 10:01 - Nov 30 with 1856 views | Best_loser | If they are willing to pay all that for a team and league nobody cares about , imagine how much they are willing to spend on the team that are their representatives on the world stage , Newcastle united
Footballers an£ greed on 10:56 - Nov 30 with 1817 views | Dr_Winston | Easy to criticise people for accepting massive amounts of money when nobody is offering it to you. I find most of the pearl clutching offence taken to footballers income absurd to be honest.
| Pain or damage don't end the world. Or despair, or f*cking beatings. The world ends when you're dead. Until then, you got more punishment in store. Stand it like a man... and give some back. |

Footballers an£ greed on 11:11 - Nov 30 with 1807 views | Whiterockin | I really don't see it as players being greedy. If someone wants to pay you an amount of money in any walk of life, football included are you greedy for accepting it. Not in my opinion, its down to the employer to pay or decline.
Footballers an£ greed on 11:13 - Nov 30 with 1798 views | onehunglow | Interesting . Maybe, money should be more funnelled into grass roots It’s not a matter of offence but ,looking at the world around us ,it most certainly is worth reflection.

I am talking morality here I maintain it is immoral and obscene to see a man sign up for 497 million for 4 years. I read much about socialism and fairness and help for the less well off,so Im struggling here. Nothing to do with talent at all. It simply should not happen He should give it all away to those in poverty

Course it’s obscene but he can’t be blamed for taking the money.
Footballers an£ greed on 22:31 - Nov 30 with 1570 views | ReslovenSwan1 | The figures seem bonkers for a 35 year old player. It is in my opinion not true. I want to see the pay slips. It is probably not true because it does not make sense. Ronaldo would go there for much less than that. Andre Ayew is n £200k a week, really?. So why did he stay at Swansea for two season on £80k pw?. It makes no sense. He could have been on that 2 years earlier with a nice transfer fee for Swansea. The oil price has gone up of course.

Morning John Im not "blaming" him simply pointed not this should not be possible. Peronally,if worth 100 million myself,I d struggle to accept such a contract .It is indeed a warped cruel world. Nothing is impossible Have a smart day at the coal face

It's greedy for absurdly well paid people to keep demanding more BUT it is absolutely stunningly stupid that anybody offers that kind of money in the first place. If someone had offered me that money to play football I'd probably have said yes but, if I was as rich as Ronaldo I may already have retired to enjoy my life. It's not his accepting it that I find unreal, it's that they offered it. [Post edited 1 Dec 2022 15:54]

Thank the Lord someone has the intellect to understand my post and how it is to be interpreted Good luck to him Do what ..? What about socialism and fairness and the wealthy looking after the poorer . Renaldo is grotesquely wealthy and should have refused point blank as he doesn’t NEED the money Now then, how about the Huge salaries paid to CEOs of large companies ,people hammered for their greed . Again, seething hypocrisy . It’s football and it’s like strangling poisonous ivy

Hang on. What about the super rich.Repeatedly reviled on here nut in Ronald’s case ,some see it as being good for. Him. My opinion is he is greedy,an egotist with no equal. A very good player now seeing out his career and determined still 5 rake it in. Why ? Because someone will pay him ludicrous money. And that s ok? Screw that and screw him.

Why should anyone who makes money honestly suffer ridicule ? He has helped no end of people with his money. He will do a lot more good with more that if he wasn’t paid it.

I refer you to the post you've replied to, "Someone is willing to pay him 179million a year" he hasn't asked for that they have offered that amount, he hasn't signed anyway, cause he still wants to play in the champions league, so in fairness to him, football obviously comes first for him. Good on him.

And I refer to the reply to my post. Good on you. That is the way to discourse on here I disagree with you entirely and stand by every word and long may that remain.
