I have no connection with the club, other than handing over my hard earned 400-odd quid every year. However I see the following attributes which no other player in the squad offers in one package:
- he can spot a forward pass
- he can hit a cracking shot
- he can place a shot in the corners
- he can head the ball
- he can beat a man
to this extent he adds an attacking threat, similar to Shelvey in some respects, or dare I say it, to Michu.
If he turns out to be a complete lemon, so be it.

We already had Gylfi and Ayew who can play the No 10 role with Paloschi up top. Then two from Cork, Ki and Britton to play the base of midfield.
Fer coming in to provide cover for these positions is fine in my opinion. He wouldnt need to be called upon every week but could hopefully make a contribution when needed. | |

The thing that is annoying is that you look at the experience that Guidolin and his assistants have in the game (may not have been as relevant for the last lot!) and someone on here reckons he's better placed to judge our two signings than they are, because he's watched a bit of Skys overseas football coverage.
It's like saying that you watch a bit of formula 1 and play driving games on your xbox so know more than Lewis Hamilton.
I wish some of our 'fans' would sod off back to supporting Man Utd or Chelsea to be honest - too many only give a crap about what supporters of other teams think. Ooh - Liverpool fans think we've made a good signing, I feel much better about myself. Insecure morons. | | | |
