Swansea Chairman Huw Jenkins admits that they aren't progressing with the signing of Nathan Dyer as they would like

Dyer has spent the last part of the season on loan at Swansea City and the club have made no secret of their desire to keep the wide man looking to make his move from St Marys a permanent one.

But since going into administration it seems that things have not progressed as far as the full move is concerned and that is leading to a danger of Swansea giving up and looking elsewhere for their targets.

Jenkins said "We're struggling to reach an agreement with Southampton over Nathan.

"Since they went into administration it has been hard to get a decision out of them.  When Nathan joined us in January we were talking to Rupert Lowe who was the Southampton chairman.

"But he's gone now and new people are running that club.  Getting hold of them to discuss a deal is proving very difficult.

"We've always wanted to sort something out sooner or later but they seem reluctant to sit down and talk.

"It seems like nobody wants to make a decision there at the moment.   Maybe Southamoton want to keep Nathan on their books until a new owner comes in.

"We haven't given up but if this carries on then Roberto will have to look elsewhere.

"Nathan isn't the only player on our list.  We do have other targets and we'll pursue them if we can't reach an agreement with Southampton.

"We've got our own view of the player's value - but Southa, pton think he's worth more.  The price has to be right for us to buy.   If it isn't right for Swansea City then there won't be a deal, it's as simple as that."
