Bunney injured presumably. Back to the back three again. [Post edited 9 Dec 2017 14:30]

It would have been fine if we weren't so obsessed with their players. Rafferty ended up following Taylor everywhere meaning Done had to drop out of the front line to cover when their left back went forward. If we were going to go with such a tactic, we'd seen Rathbone follow Maddison everywhere v Posh so why not try that. The wing-backs require Bunney in situ too. After today I'm not sure we'll see it again, but chickens come home to roost when age old issues aren't addressed. Hill's comments about set-plays afterwards should make him look more at himself than the players.

Our attacking today was awesome at times, frustrating as heck to lose to a breakaway goal. That’s how Bradford have been playing this season however, fine away from home on the counter-attack, struggled at home against teams they can’t break down. Hard to criticise being too aggressive but at times we were. That and giveng them free kick after free kick in the final third, manna from heaven for them.

I doubt we'll see it again any time soon either, that first half was just too chaotic. I loved it though. Give me a game like that any day over the 1-0 losses we were experiencing earlier in the season with our defensive set-up.

Its frustrating because in McGahey we have a quality defender but no one decent enough to play alongside him and its costing us week in week out. Also why the hell does Davies not play more? Clearly a massive goalscoring threat and our best one I may add.

Davies isn't fit and when hes relatively match sharp he gets injured, totally agree with you about Harrison it's embarrassingly obvious hes lacked a decent dominant defender to slot in next to him,yet Hill messes about with every other possible formation, players to paper over the cracks. For all Frmse faults and the bollox he spouts he hit a few home truths right on the head in the post match summary today
Match thread: Bradford away. Unnecessary black shorts and socks. on 21:41 - Dec 9 with 2116 views | DaleFan7 | I'm not buying into the 'we keep playing well and not getting what we should have out of the game' We're 20 games into the league season now. We're lacking in every part of the pitch. We can't defend, our midfield is lacking in creativity after the 3 players leaving, the only person capable of scoring on a regular basis at the moment can only play once every 3 or 4 games. We have to win our next 2 home games. However, Walsall are 4th in the 'last 6 games table' and Oxford are 6th in the 'away' table.

'we keep playing well and not getting what we should have out of the game' - for me, that's the biggest criticism of the season so far. It's not a luck thing and should never be even considered, but we're lacking that little something is costing us over and over again. There's several key elements we're probably missing out, whether it be dominant centre half, an aerial threat in the opposition box, some leadership out on the pitch, that ratty role that Jamie Allen used to play that allowed us to press, but I really think if just one of those had been sorted, we could quite easily have had another ten points on the board. But the list of games that we could / should have picked something up is huge now, and it would be a huge risk for Hilly to keep trusting the same group of players for the second half of the season. It'd be hope not faith as they've not showed any evidence to suggest otherwise. I don't believe we are a shambles and its to our credit that we are out of the bottom four given all the points that we keep dropping. We can only improve from where we are.

Agree with most of that, especially not trusting to luck It's very tight now between the six teams on 20pts or less, and not winning against Oxford next weekend could change the mood. The Xmas/NY run of fixtures is going to be the most crucial in Hilly's tenure

Yes the next 6 games are huge ( Weather permitting!!) 5 points or less & knocked out of the cup & it's going to be a tough second half. 9 points or more and a 4th round FA cup match & we will be out of the bottom 8 & a decent 2nd half to look forward to

Couple of neutrals near me thought he was poor. He marched Dale back down the line for throw ins, but not them. He gave them the benefit of the doubt in 50-50 challenges. He allowed them to waste time , their keeper should have been booked .

He also gave us a penalty, despite the howls of the home crowd. There were five minutes added time at the end.

There were 4 substitutions, two goals two bookings in 2nd half, those coupled with blatant time wasting should ensured 10 mins of added time. Are you saying he gifted us the penalty? I haven't seen it since the live 'event'.

Not at all, but you suggested he was influenced by the home crowd, which I disagree with, that's all. He regularly officiates in the Championship, where I'm sure the crowds and scrutiny are a lot greater than yesterday. And none of what you mentioned had any bearing on the result. Ten minutes? Really? When did that last happen at a game?

I've no idea, but that amount of time would have been reasonable, I remember a game at spotland a few years ago where a lot of time was added censuses of timewasting. I didn't claim the referee lost us the game, that was down to the manager, and poor defending. I too read the refwatch preview! 19600 crowd, probably greater than many championship games he's officiated. I thought he was poor, you thought he wasn't . That's cool
