A bit I find interesting is the report that his agency MC Saatchi also no longer represents him and his profile on the site now displays a “page not found” notice.

Luton have signed 23 year old central defender Mark McGuinness from Cardiff after 86 appearances in 3 years - fee reported to be upto £10 mil with add-ons. Spent half of last season injured.

So if JCS goes, surely worth a similar amount?

I think the devaluation of the cup competitions started with Man Utd pulling out of the FA Cup to play in some mickey-mouse FIFA club championship.

When the clubs don't take a competition seriously, then the fans follow.

The most disappointing thing for me was the defending of crosses which was so good in the last third of last season. I did expect West Brom to beat us but didn't expect our defence to be so passive.

Looking at West Brom's pre-season friendlies, their results haven't been great:

3rd Aug Lost 4-1 at Brum
2nd Aug Lost 1-0 at Cambridge
27th July Lost 1-0 to Mallorca
23rd July Lost 2-1 to Blackpool
20th July Won 2-1 v Peterboro

Probably shouldn't read too much into friendly results

Why do Sky always select the same games - it seems like they always choose our games versus Norwich, Watford and Luton. I guess we should be grateful Reading are in League One.

I was in the rail seating in the lower loft for the Bournemouth FA Cup game - really enjoyed it. Good atmosphere and much more comfortable way to stand.
