Double duty today Boston first the interviews now the lowlights.I read the match thread and I was expecting the worst tackle in history by Verane but I have seen a lot worse to be honest. He was kind of stumbling along then lost the dribble and lunged but the Blackburn players decieved the Ref I believe into thinking it was a leg breaker . No excuse for that wild lunge in that position on the field that late in added time but the Ref should have taken more time IMO. The goals were the usual kind we give up deflections or clean headers won as we never seem to block ctosses anymore . Bad Saturday all around

Yes, I thought that late tackle by Dolan for which he got a yellow was a worse tackle than Varane's which got him sent off. Then that Referee also disallowed Smith's goal which looked good to me. Bad homer Ref or just my bias, I'm not sure. I also thought Varane had done quite well in what I think was his first League start.

For all those quibbling that Varane's tackle (sic!) wasn't deserving of a red, ask yourself what card should have been shown if a Rangers player had been on the receiving end.
"Travel is fatal to prejudice, bigotry and narrow-mindedness, and many of our people need it sorely on these accounts. Broad, wholesome, charitable views of men and things cannot be acquired by vegetating in one little corner of the Earth all one's lifetime." (Mark Twain)
