If you keep doing things the way you've always done them you'll keep getting the same outcomes. The specific result of issuing vouchers is to restrict a customer-base in desperate need of being expanded.

However, yes, we could change the way we do things and have some sort of loyalty scheme where fans get "points" for attending games and priority is given to them for all ticket games. You didn't answer about regular fans (non season ticket holders) definitely getting a ticket. How could that be achieved? Would you reserve them by perhaps working out how many pay to attend a particlar game? This could be done by maybe having 3000 pieces of paper, issuing them at the game, and seeing how many are left; thus keeping tickets aside for the amount of pieces of paper issued. We could call them vouchers.
You won't hear me arguing about expanding the customer base, and online ticketing would immediately assist with this, but loyalty to regulars comes first as we can't afford to lose any more. And if annoying them by selling their seat would see a few dozen not bother, then money is lost.
If I had a voucher, I'd gladly buy you a ticket tomorrow. Unfortunately I'm a season ticket holder and bought my seat yesterday. Let us know if you have any problems getting one on the 23rd though, we'll see if there's anyone who has bought a spare.

I'd be prepared to bet there's at least one non-season-ticket holder who has attended every game but the Fleetwood one! As I said tickets could be sold concurrently, holding back a thousand,say, for a week or so, so that season-ticket holders are guaranteed any they require. Appealing to a wider audience is not incompatible with safe-guarding the interests of season-ticket holders, unless of course regulars actually resent the presence of us interlopers!

The regular not attending yesterday: And that's why we've said it isn't perfect. But most regulars would make the effort to get to the Fleetwood game or sort something if they can't. have any regulars been on here protesting about how unfair it is?
Yesterday was about trying to get as many of the wider audience to the regular games, and then hoping they turn up again in the next two home games before Leeds. We all want as many fans at every game, and if giving incentives helps, then do it.
Why would any "interloper" mind if they are told tickets go sale on the 23rd to them? If all tickets had gone on sale that day, would it have made any difference to their attendance? Or would such "interlopers" be mortally offended when they hear that regular fans or fans who attended a previous game had already got their tickets?
What we should be doing is looking to capitalise on the wider audience that turn up v Leeds by offering a promotion to those that attend - few quid off the next game. Maybe in the form of a voucher. We want as many of them back as possible for the Plymouth game Two weeks after.
Or would that be unfair on the wider audience unable to attend the Leeds game who want to interlope their way into the ground to witness Trotman again?

Bottom line is, its easier for Leeds fans to buy a ticket than for Dale fans.
They can do it from home and simply turn up for the game with their ticket in hand without ever having to queue or collect a ticket. And yes, they are probably paying an extra quid or 2 quid for the privelidge - its called paying for convenience.
Now would those who think on line purchasing is not the way to go put on their clogs grab their mufflers and pipe and take their whippet for a walk down to t'hippodrome.

I get the impression someone has pinched your seat. It reminds me of that famous scene in Auf Wiedersehen when Oz was accused of the very same by an old timer in a bar.
