I'm sure a post of this nature has been done before.

But as QPR fans we more or less have roots to West London and its suburbs.

Which Schools did you all go to? Fond memories etc or the contrary?.

I went Douay Martyrs in Ickenham, had no other choice due to moving to the area.... not a fan of the school but the time of my teen hood was okay and I had a laugh.

Interested to hear bout everyone else's schools.

not many at the moment from ladbroke gove or shepherds bush....

Brackenbury Primary School and then Holland Park Comprehensive. That was an experience! Became a primary teacher and worked at Lena Gardens and Queens Manor. QM too close to Fulham for my liking. Now a Headteacher in an adjoining borough. No QPR fans in the school population despite my hard work.

That’s called Ark Franklin these days and seen as the school all the new loaded transplants to Queens Park fight to get into.

Amazing how the whole area has changed

My kids are about to head off to QPCS, alma mater of Ozzy Kakay. Anyone go there?

The school formerly known as Aylestone secondary modern. Went there from 64 to 69.

I was wondering how many Ark schools there are now!

I didn't realise either that Ark is an acronym.

Langley Grammar School alumni: woe betide you if your blazer wasn’t exactly the right shade of green.

I didn't go to that school but I know it pretty well because, as an adult, I played 8 a side football there on Thursday evenings, for many years.

I went to Aylesbury Grammar School. Man, did they work you hard! I used to have a ridiculous amount of homework

My mate's brother also went to AGS. He was in a punk band and one of their songs went:
"I'm going grow up to be a s3x p3rv3rt,
It's the only thing I learned in an all-boys school".

Make of that what you will. My experience there was pretty dull in comparison, but then he was in a lower year to me...

"Things had started becoming increasingly desperate at Loftus Road but QPR have been handed a massive lifeline and the place has absolutely erupted. it's carnage. It's bedlam. It's 1-1."

I went Northolt High too.
Left in ‘91… thank god.

Me too but I left in ‘79. I hear it’s all being knocked down now. Not sad about that at all.

Yes 1 half of the school has already been flattened for a rebuild . It needed it to be honest .

Am I the only Latymerian on here? HQ floodlights visible from the playing field (corner of Wood Lane and Du Cane Road. We used to get sent for a run round Wormwood Scrubs when the rain made the pitches unplayable.

Malorees Primary in Brondesbury Park followed by St Benedict’s in Ealing, courtesy of Brent Council’s export subsidies for Catholics. The free place was probably the reason the monks left me alone. Quite a few Rangers and Brentford fans, the wannabe bullies went to Stamford Bridge.

Latymer playing fields are still there right?

I thought for years they were on the cards for some kind of sale / development.

Nope, there are several of us on here. The scrubs run or the round the river run. I preferred the latter as there were places you could stop for a crafty smoke.

No QPR fans in your school? What's wrong with education these days?

lovely pitches the old latimer playing fields, played against you lot 3 times when i was at QK.
won one, drew one, lost one.

the pav across the road has been my local since 1975, even though i live in the bush now, the only remaining pub in that area is still my favourite, except match days before the game, but straight back there after.

and yes, the latymer playing fields are still there.

Poll: how many games this season....home/away.
