Appreciate Forever R's was, more than likely a new scheme and probably was introduced under Les's watch. He was in my eyes, our greatest ever number nine. Definitely in my time of watching Rangers. The guy got so much stick, unfortunately also a few personal insults as Director of Football, but if ever a man deserves an ovation for his unbelievable contribution to our history - its Les. I get the times under his watch with regards to being the Director of Football weren't the best, but you could always tell he gave it his all. In fact, the sh*t show that he inherited with a squad of massively over paid has-been prima donnas, he did well to stabilise us and especially with the finances and also throughout dealing with the FFP fine hanging over us every season, I think he did a decent job. Ainsworth as manager from day one was a disaster as a manager from ourselves and although obviously none of us could have been happy with his performances in the role, he got no personal insults at all, as a previous legend at the club. I know a lot on here were heavily critical of Les - harshly in my eyes, but I do feel the club should introduce him into the Forever R's club most definitely. Maybe, its too early after he left and with a lot of the previous regime still here, perhaps it wont happen as yet. Surely has to though, am certain the crowd at the ground would give the guy a standing ovation. As said our greatest centre forward ever - surely needs looking at ?? [Post edited 22 Feb 12:05]
