QPR based Glasgow R’s here.

Hearing rumours on the Glasgow Riviera that Rangers FC want Marti in for the beginning of next season.

Big big club and a hell of a challenge, be gutted to lose him to that mob.

Wouldn’t like to see Martí leave as regardless of how low we sink under him , he wouldn’t get any flack from our supporters.
Sadly that would never happen if the same scenario occurred at Rangers .
They’re not shrinking violets in abusing managers when things go wrong in the totally lob sided “two” horse race that exists up there. .

He doesn't speak the language, this would present a huge problem.

However, to put them off, I suggest pictures of Marti are doctored by putting a big mole on his face. This should scare the crap out of them.

Paddox...your club needs you!!

Sorted. This’ll put them off.

People seem to forget Marti and Xavi both signed a long term contract with us back in September, and if he were to go, then it's probably going to be Premier League club.

the buyout clause would run into the millions, and Rangers from what I know arnt in a great financial position, so that will probably put them off.

I think Marti will be here for the foreseeable future.

If anyone has Marti’s email or phone number, this ‘promotion’ video should do the job.

I promise that it’s not a cross thread post.

I think your heart is ruling your head there.

I think if any relegated team fancied him - and why wouldn't they? - he'd be gone immediately. Possibly a top 6 team that didn't go up too.

Personally, I'd be shocked if he were still our manager going into next season.

Maybe a relegated team, but why would he leave for a failed top 6 side.

He has built a team which looks more and more likely to be able to mount a top 6 push next season (maybe even this season!!).

He has job security here, a fanbase which loves him (even when we were bottom) and it would be much more impressive and raise his CV to get top 6 with us, than get top 6 with a West Brom where they are expectant upon that.

Fancying is different to paying the compo though. If Ipswich come down and McKenna goes I’d be with you, he’d be mad not to take a job like that. Same with any of the current top 3 (if they don’t all go up, and it increasingly feels like they will).

Can’t see any of the other top 6 chasing sides paying in the millions for a manager mind, WBA bring in a few mil for Corberan and get Mowbray for nothing. Watch Blackburn appoint someone on the cheap. You don’t spend millions on a manager when you can’t spend millions on players.

Marti celebrates the Gunpowder Plot every year and hates marching bands. Do one.

That’s a tad insulting to Marti. He’s obviously enjoying his time here and so is everyone else at the club. I think the owners will back him financially as much they can. He’d be dumb to give this up for a Billy Big Bollox team who have just sacked their manager and will sack HIM if he hasn’t won the European cup by Christmas.

Strong and stable my arse.

They might want him, maybe even dangle out a couple of feelers to that effect, but they can fcuk right off.

Marti is more of a St Johnstone man anyway.

Middlesborough also being linked. On the verge of sacking Carrick apparently.

Well I'm guessing just like anyone else but I doubt there was as much smoke as there was at Sunderland last summer without a little bit of fire.

Frankly I hope he stays here forever. He's the best thing we've had possibly since Venables / Francis. But he's never stayed anywhere longer than 2 years. By the end of this season he'll have managed more games for us than he has anywhere else in his career. My money would absolutely be on him being elsewhere before August. I guess time will tell.

I'm picturing more a Leeds / Burnley / Sunderland. I suspect he was in at least one of those buildings last summer and his stock has had absolutely no harm since.

You really think if one of those teams come knocking he'll say no thanks because he loves it here so much? I'd absolutely love that but I think the reality is he'd go. Burnley probably.
