home game vs Derby County 10:58 - Dec 25 with 6171 views | cpgerber | Christmas present for the kids, we're taking them to London for a few days during their Feb school holidays (15-23 Feb). Only QPR home game in that period is Friday the 14th. No ticket information yet, but should we be able to get tickets for a family of 4? For that day we need to take the kids a day out of school also, so if you guys think tickets will be a problem, we might as well pick dates later in the window. Have to book flights and hotel soonish. | ![](/images/avatars/24276.gif) | | | ![](/images/icons/ignore-user.png) |

home game vs Derby County on 15:37 - Feb 13 by cpgerber | So here it is, finally. After having been a QPR fan for almost 40 years, my first home game at Loftus Road tomorrow evening. We got the seats changed to the upper loft, where my son will have an isle seat. (a raptured ACL has been confirmed in the mean while, getting an operation next month. Poor bloke is hobbling along on crutches) Tips for places in the neighbourhood where we can grab a pub-dinner before the game? Or will everything be packed and should we look to get dinner further away? totally psyched. |

I was about to report on the trip today, just got back home late last night. Amazing experience to be at Loftus Road. I've been in London a couple of times before, but always had the bad luck of QPR playing away (or not at all) when I'm there. Those of you who can go often, don't take it for granted! For us far away, we miss out on a lot. The matchday experience was brilliant, loved the stadium, the crowd, the vibe. Notaceble how many young people were at the game, although I sat next to someone probably in his 60's who from the sound of it has probably been coming since he was kid. Was amazed by how busy the club store was! I think if we paid any loan fee for Min-Hyeok, we must have gotten double that back in shirt sales already. Thought we played well after struggling at the start. Read some sceptical reports here that surprised me a bit. As a rugby coach of me used to say: you can only play as well as your opponent lets you. So yes Derby wasn't great, but we also made it difficult for them. Was obviously delighted to see 4 goals, was really not looking forward to a drab 0-0. I even saw Madsen make a first-touch diagonal pass back across field to Dunne. (unless my eyes were playing tricks with me). Chair, Saito and Edwards the standouts for me, but no-one really disappointed. Apart from the football, dinner at Manthan was the highlight. Would love to do this more regularly, but heck its an expensive city for visitors. Will have to wait for the kids to leave the house. | ![](/images/avatars/24276.gif) | | ![](/images/icons/ignore-user.png) |
