Toyed with this idea last season. Shall we have a thread to discuss, comment on, cover the rest of the league? A place to discuss other teams’ results, performances, financial implosions, etc?

For example, last night, anyone catch either of the first two games? I didn’t. But somewhat surprised/worried Blackburn scored 4 given how they are meant to struggle. Was it Derby being utter sh*te?

Sounds like Preston are continuing in the same vein of being incredibly dull.

Clive, what do you think? Worth making a sticky? Might reduce the number of threads to manage.

I wonder if there was a dodgy tax avoidance scheme involving Companies registered in BVI, yachts, footballers and a Russian crook?

I'm not sure them being able to actually run about and play was really Redknapp's primary concern with some of these.

How on earth we were allowed to "spend" £12m on fat Chris Samba, sell him straight back to the same Russian club we got him from for the same "fee" six months later, and then they move him onto another Russian club a week later, without anybody saying "hang on a minute..." is beyond me.

Put it this way; when Redknapp was sacked by West Ham he wasn't paid any compensation.

......because his greed, bloody great ego and mates in the media convinced him that he is a top top top manager and he couldn't resist another crack at the premier.
He probably thought he could keep us up and get a bigger club again or the national job.

It continues to grate on me that his participation in “I’m a Celebrity….” cemented his status as the Nation’s favourite cheerful cockney chappie.
It’s probably only us and Southampton and possibly Portsmouth fans who realise what he’s really like.

Everyone who has ever spent any time with ‘Appy ‘Arry has a story to tell and most of them couldn’t be repeated online..

And the Southampton fans tried to warn us about him,but most of us thought that he couldn’t be worse than Hughes.

My Sister, also a Rangers fan albeit from a distance these days, was totally taken in by him.

"He's lovely, he really loves his wife..."

I gave her a few facts.

Not sure I've heard my kid sis swear like that before.

"The opposite of love, after all, is not hate, but indifference."

I was on the Sheila Fogerty show on LBC a while back. Somehow Rednapps name comes up in the conversation and how dodgy he was. She was good old Harry etc. Ask any QPR or Southampton fans and they will tell you different. I told her and the millions of listeners. I tried fellow r’s, I tried.

Even hearing him on those betting adverts grates and all those duped including my Dad who thought he was such a lovely genuine man.

I really was done with Rangers during those times. I also had the misfortune of knowing a lot of what was going on behind the scenes which didn’t help.

Me too, both on radio and TV, sometimes I’ll even turn it over so I haven’t got to look at him either!
As they say, “I’d rather cut my ears off so I don’t have to listen to him and sew them over my eyes so I don’t have to look at him”!

Guessing Luton won’t go back in for Kone, they’ve signed Wigans Thelo Aasgaard and Exeters Millenic Alli, bit strange to look to the lower leagues when they have Morris and Adebayo.

Matt Grimes has left Swansea for Coventry. I wonder if its just too late for the wheels to properly come off this season for that Swansea team, beating us excepted.

I'm thinking that with them. Particularly if Darling leaves as well.

If somebody would’ve told me 15 years ago that QPR would win a final at Wembley, but the manager would be forever despised by the fans, I would never have believed them.

It was westham away after we went up that sealed it for me,3-0 down and fat Sam was still in the technical area waving his arms like a nutter pushing his side to get a 4th whilst old candle face sat down silent with his arms crossed.

Blackburn (6th in Championship) comfortably beaten by struggling Wolves.

Indicative of the massive gap between the 2 divisions?

Just saw it’s the QPR derby up in Glasgow today - Queen’s Park v Rangers.

(Not the Championship, I know, but I didn’t think it was worth a new thread)

Come on you Q’s, I suppose.

1 - a lot going on at Blackburn atm, eustace about to walk
2 - team probably a good 6-8 places higher than they should be, although Travis is some player when he’s not diving about and engaging in histrionics
3 - they always, always collapse after Christmas.

Eustace has always impressed me, I'd have happily had him at the helm after Warburton left. He'll be hard to replace, I think.
