Ever since I've been a hospital porter just over 3 years now every week I've brought two small bottles a week from Aldi now this week I can't get any yet if I buy off eBay it's now 12 quid a bottle that I was buying for 49p

The world's gone mad

Facemasks have also been hit by inflation, and they are useless!

The world IS mad, there has been panic buying, some shops have had their shelves stripped.People are berserk. Ask them to cover their outh, wash their hands etc and they look at you daft then they run off and buy a months worth of shopping much of which will end up in the bin.

Just my opinion, but WTF do I know anyway?

Just buy a couple of bars of Lifebuoy. Job done.

Which is largely true. Sanitisers are not actually that effective and soap far more effective than
We often credit. Not all the masks are useless but few are
PP3 level and even fewer (on the basis I have seen on Chinese students in Liverpool today) are properly fitted

Everyone needs to be shaving their beards and facial hair off next to ensure the mask fits tight. Otherwise completely pointless.

Cheers, I'll let the wife know.

Why do Italian men have moustaches?

To remind them of their mothers...

Apparently boots get a fresh delivery everyday. People are queuing up outside all the stores before they open to make sure they get some. It’s all gone by 9am. Selfish nation

You should be able to pick it up in the market. Failing that online is easy enough: eBay, Amazon, any number of vendors.

I feel a thread digression coming on.

Pears amber soap is my favourite and there's no local stockist, so every time I visit Blighty now, my cabin bag is full of it on the return journey.

You can but it's made in Cyprus so best to bulk buy it in before next year.

Failing that, Molton Brown

Carbolic soap is still manufactured in Blighty, just not under the historic trademarks.

If I had my way I'd make a hand washing forum discussion a public service spirited sticky thread. Hand washing is an extremely important countermeasure to limit the diseases spread/infection rate thus limiting pressure on NHS staff/services.

Argus!

My wife was told to use it due to a condition she has, but was then told it was not available, someone else then said it wasnt as good as years ago as something in it had now been "removed"
