The Frankie Friday Music Thread.....RIP 07:01 - Apr 4 with 2312567 viewsLblock

Here I am starting this from my recovery bed and no clue how to link tunes on an iPhone!

Will stick on my offerings from a PC later unless the other knuckles thread is the preference to use?

House classics and dancey dazzlers only, no hijacking from suicide rock please!

In the beginning there was jack.......

Been meaning to update for years.
Can only be one.......

Some nice ones there mate Lois Jumbo cords and BBQ Genie a winning combination

Not sure you saw my Everton away thread but this brings back memories from 83-84. Reckon we should all club together and get CR some Stuarts vouchers reckon he'd look better in an Acquascutom deer stalker than the old benny hat :-)

Talking of streetsounds - I've still got Streetsounds 15 which has this on it.....I always liked a bit of electric guitar.....

Brixton, you've done it again fella.
I remember that track being played extremely loud when me and mates used to frequent Richmond ice rink on a Friday night all in our full casual gear (me usually in my Fila white line track suit bottoms and yellow Ellesse zip up top)
No wonder I was always skint what with having the best clobber shop in London on the door step of your football team plus also going to college in Lime Grove, what chance did I have!

Unusually busy Friday for me, and as I'm covering a Project Manager off on leave next two weeks that ain't gonna change soon
Just catching up on some quality offerings as usual. Nice bit of retro and a sound genre I fell in love with alongside Ska weirdly enough

I used to love blasting this one from the ghetto blaster

Sad news about Colin Faver, for me it all started with him and Colin Dale. Every tune, every top night, every E.
He played all dance genres i loved on his Kiss FM show from house to techno, his master mixes were always quality. RIP.
I sorted out my loft today, finally, and got down a load vinyl i forgot about . Heres a few, bit techno, bit proggy, trancy house, bit of this and that, but still...its all about the good times..

Now we're talking

One of the tracks I remember the two Colin's championing was this beauty.
I can only thank both of those guys for the many great bleeps and breakbeats they introduced me too (and for making the name Colin socially acceptable for a while!!!)

Good skills Disco.

And thanks for posting those two - I first had that Carly Simon track on a mix tape that I bought on Portobello Market in 1989.

It got nicked along with the sound system towards the end of a lively party when I lived near Ladbroke Grove.

But I never knew the name - until today :-)
