Another inept performance. We should have been at least 3-0 up at half time against the worst team we have played this season. Hull are in the bottom three because they are crap and if we cant beat teams like that God help us. Why oh Why didn't we By any Strikers in the summer we all new we needed some. Looks like we are going to struggle until the January transfer window.

Anyone who saw this match should feel ashamed at how casual Saints were. Having been gifted an early goal we strolled about as though it was a training match. We learned three things. Ryan Bertrand isn't fully fit and his limited mobility was exposed meaning he was bossed by Snodgrass as soon as Snodgrass came on. Jordy Clasie continued to give the ball away and, although he made a couple of exploitative forward runs, he really isn't EPL class. As for Nathan Redmond, playing him is a waste of time. His all round performance was woeful - knocked or falling over, picking the wrong pass, being greedy - it was incredibly poor. Believe me, Hull were rubbish. Saints handed them the points. Disgraceful.

How can we be surprised really with such a lightweight attack? Scoring goals has been our achilles heel all season which is barely acceptable if the defence do their job and keep a clean sheet but they were unbelievably sloppy today and both goals were due to alarming errors.

As direct comparisons Chelsea have Hazard & Costa, we have Redmond & Austin but defensively we are at about on a par.

Of late, there have been mutterings on the terraces about Forster's lack of reactions and mobility and whether he is good enough. Until now I have refused to see it that way but after today's inept display it is easy to see what lies behind this unrest. Today raised real concerns for me. It seems that any shot on our goal ends up in the back of our net whereas any shots on opponents goals by us are usually saved spectacularly whether it be by Heaton, Marshall, Pickford - you name them.

He certainly cannot command his own 6 yard box let alone the 18 yard box and if he relies on staying on his line then how does he expect to save shots coming at him from close range at 70 or 80 mph?

Ok, so things aren't disastrous - we beat Inter a few days ago!
But there have been a few games this season already where our lack of quality in the final third has been exposed, and this game was one of those. It's becoming a theme now, even in games we've won.
Hopefully Boufal can add quality in time. I'd be amazed if we buy a striker in Jan, but I live in hope!

A worrying performance - surely few can now disagree that we have a significant problem in the attacking part of our game. We don't play as if we expect to score. Aside from the West Ham game we have nearly completely relied on bad back-passes, penalties, own-goals or bundling it in from a corner. The decision not to replace Mane or Pelle is costing us big time - there were no game-changers on that field for us today. If our defensive capabilities were to collapse long-term then we could be in for a struggle. As it is I don't think that we are going to win many matches this season where the other team score and that is a problem however good your defence is.

I read somewhere that Tadic has created the most chances in the EPL this season and yet he has not one assist to his name...says it all!

And when is Romeu going to get a rest, we will be seriously screwed if gets injured.

Brilliant at passing around the back 5, no midfield flare or anything offered in attack, Against a team as bad as hull, we can't even look like scoring from open play, it's getting embarrassing now. At the beginning of the year I said we would be targeting the top 15, thats begin gin to look a hard target. Need a goal scorer from somewhere.

Sorry Luffy--the "agree" click is the one I meant!

Like our forwards, I shot wide and hit "disagree" and someone in the 20th row!

Remember West Ham away last season? 1 nil up at half time, but no cutting edge to get the second & kill the game. Well a year on some new players, new manager & still we do this! Got to say though I salute you the supporters that had to watch that dross live & then drive home. Forster for me is a worry, It seems that every shot on target is going in! Puel I have one question... Jordy Clasie..
why??? look no one covered themselves in glory but at least you can say Clasie is consistent!!
