Things must be good if the only thing we are arguing about is whether a player who played for us years ago is deemed legendary status or not 😂😂😂

Increase in defence spending
at 10:28 26 Feb 2025

I was watching some lunatic SNP MP on TV last night saying how wrong this was and that developing nations need this aid blah blah. These are exceptional times requiring exceptional measure and our spend in defence needs to be increased.

If we can increase our defence Europe wide it will also mean less of a dependency on the USA as Trump is trying to push for. That’s got to be good for this continent ultimately.

Oh, and that SNP MP said that we should manage increased defence spending and maintain overseas aid. When asked how, she said we could scrap Trident

Cardiff v Hull on Tuesday

On the very very little I’ve seen, it seems Hull are hungover after their win at Sunderland.

Exactly what I said. No opposing manager has had to do any prep on us before a game during the Martin or Williams era.

I just found a video of it and it was harsh I’ll admit. When I saw it yesterday it was analysed a bit more and I was sure there was (the tiniest) bit of separation which no one would have seen.

Now, looking at it again but without the forensic views of it what I did see was the ball grounded short then pushed forward with no downward pressure. Therefore a knock on. Before TMO that’s a try every day. TMO spots the smallest of infringements however.

I would have loved it to be awarded and that would have made Wales favourites at that stage maybe. Whether Ireland could have dug deep late in the game we’ll never know.

If there was any doubt about it, don’t you think the entire Welsh press woukd be all over it calling the ref, Lino, TMO etc. cheats?? There nothing I can see other than it being called a “fiendishly close call” in one newspaper.

Now, why would I lie about this? Are you ok, because you sound just a little bit stressed out by it all?
If I was mistaken, then so was the TMO and comms / pundits.

Calm down a little before launching a tirade like that, it reflects badly on you.

On the tv yes. His fingers moved appearing like a separation. I’d like it to have been given as well but cameras pick almost everything up these days.

Get that chip off your shoulder man!

You could see the separation when the TMO was deliberating. Minimal I agree but that’s all it has to be. As I said, unlucky.

I thought they said the downward pressure was short (as you said) then he took his hand off, repositioned his fingers and moved the ball forward, hence the knock on decision. As you say, small margins and incredibly unlucky.

Yes, it was a good team performance where everyone contributed from the first whistle to the last.

However, I’m keeping my feet firmly in the ground. We played a style yesterday that wasn’t normal for us which also meant the opposition were taken by surprise. The more games we play the more other teams will know how to set up. It’s at that point we’ll see a) how good the players are and b) whether Sheehan can tweak things to keep the opposition guessing - something they didn’t have to waste time on when Martin and Williams were at the helm.

Hopefully, we’ll get the required points well before the danger zone and can relax and start planning on additions for next season.

Whether that will be under Sheehan or not I’ll wait and see.

Wales' 2025 Six Nations squad ...
at 19:18 22 Feb 2025

Game of fine margins. If Mee’s attempt was given, who knows what may have happened.

Excellent display on the whole given their last 14 games. Shame for Wales that Gatland didn’t go before the 6N.

It’s getting to the point that it’s not newsworthy anymore.

We need a heavy counter balance in politics. I’d love to see AfD in Germany get power and Refirm here. It may not be for long but it would be the short, sharp shock the mainstream parties need to understand what the public feeling is.
