I think the initial stop on the line was clearly handball.
I realise that this kind of contradicts your argument against VAR. But the gif of the goal on that link above lets you freeze frame and super slow mo the whole thing. You can see the defender move his arm towards the ball and the ball hits the sleeve on his upper arm, not his shoulder.
Therefore, all subsequent kicks, hacks, handballs, rugby tackles, face plants were fully justified. 😁 |

Great preview as usual Clive. Just one thing, a peeve of mine - the calendar year. Surely a calendar year means a year as it is on a calendar. So you could say we haven't had a christmas this calendar year, but it is less than a year since the last christmas?

The thing I remember most about that game was the disgraceful behaviour of Ade Akinbiyi. He did enough to be sent off 3 times over and became a pantomime villain in the eyes of Rangers fans for years. Idiot! |
