Do we really expect to get a positive result with Lumley, Manning and Stephens in the same starting XI ?

Anymore News About Sunday's Boycott
at 00:31 24 Nov 2024

Haven't you already paid for the match via your Season Tickets ? You and Kids ?

If so, then surely boycotting the Cup game is the better option, as you have to pay extra for tickets.

The bad weather will be blamed on any no shows v Liverpool.

Why I would give Bella-kotchap a start against Liverpool
at 00:05 24 Nov 2024

Did his only appearance so far this season - a 5 minute cameo away to Cardiff. In the Caribao Cup. back at the end of August - prove to you that he is worthy of a start ?

Cheers Nick

The Missus has been before and wants to take me, as I've only been to the Algarve.

She also prefers Porto and was looking at a 3 night city break.

I would look at getting some football in whilst over there.

Noticed a Saints flag during the West Indies v England T20 cricket match on Sunday night. Barbados - never been, but wouldn't say no !!

Depends what you want and when......

I'm looking to get a bit of Skiing in and a warmer option
The Missus is currently looking at Lisbon / Porto for Spring

Between us, we have a 'short list' of about 20 holiday destinations, ranging from Alaska, Yosemite, and Tanzania, to Copenhagen, Giants Causeway and The Isles of Scilly.

RM settles dispute with Swansea
at 01:02 12 Nov 2024

Tapping up is a load of bollox.

Liverpool tapped VVD up whilst he was with us, they got reported for it and found guilty, but they issued an apology and said that there would be no further interest in the player - yet they were allowed to sign the cvnt in the very next window. (once we had nursed him back to fitness FFS).

You offer a fair solution to the RM issue, however I fear Swansea wouldn't take him !!

Southampton V Wolverhampton Wanderers The Verdict
at 15:39 11 Nov 2024

Piss poor from KWP, but the fact the Wolves player was able to run with the ball from the halfway line to the edge of our box, unchallenged, also deserves a mention.

....as does so much other stuff !! :-)

Should Russell Martin Go If He Fails To Beat Leicester
at 23:37 14 Oct 2024

Football is all about results

Goals change games .......and so do mistakes !!

Just about every goal we have conceded this season could have been avoided and we have missed chances at the other end too.

I keep hearing that we will learn from our mistakes, but we never do.

This Shows How Warped Football Has Become
at 23:32 14 Oct 2024

Saw something a week or so back, from a Chelsea fan. It said something about how everyone was laughing at Chelsea for buying Palmer as a replacement for Mason Mount, after the latter abandoned the Bridge for a bumper pay rise.

Since their respective moves....

Mount = 1 goal and 1 assist

Palmer = I think 28 or 29 goals and 10 or 11 assists

Everton Carabao Cup Game Matchday Thread
at 13:01 17 Sep 2024

I seem to recall Everton starting with about 5 first teamers in their game in the previous round at home to Doncaster Rovers, plus many others on the bench.

It's catch 22 for us.

We need to give runs outs to lots of players to get them up to speed, but don't want to risk injury or suspension.

Perhaps a side similar to Cardiff in the previous round, although 3 or 4 of them started v Man U.

I'm expecting to see....

A McC in goal
ABK in defence
Smallbone in Midfield
Sam AA and Wee Man on the flanks
R Stewart up front

The rest will depend on how brave RM is

Sulemana could even get a run out of he isn't injured again.

I'm not expecting anything result wise, but it may give a few players a chance to impress.

He was brought on at Wolves away to sure up the defence (1-1 (Ings)).
The trouble was he was asked to play Right Back, but he saw himself more of a Right Winger that day !! :-)

Perhaps it escaped your memory, but you should have mentioned that Danso was sent off in that draw with Man Utd. His ridiculous tackle on McTominay earned him a 2nd yellow, which could easily have been a red on it's own. It left us at 1-1 with a man down for the last 20 minutes, so any credit in this match goes to Danso's team mates and definitely not to Danso himself.

Will Fate Once Again Force Russell Martin's Hand
at 15:29 16 Sep 2024

ABK got a run out in the 2nd half of the Cardiff game, so I fully expect him to be given a role tomorrow night as well.

As for Ugochukwu, or fondly know as Big Les, he is a midfielder and actually started the game against Man U on Saturday, completing 64 mins before being subbed.
