Is it Tottenham Court Road? I've seen a film of a werewolf chasing a commuter along it, but he didn't make it to the top of the second escalator, so I'm not sure how far the whole interchange takes, especially if you're not running for your life and carrying a briefcase. |

Nardi 9/10 - not perfect but made a huge difference
Santos 3/10 - would be lower if he hadn't scored in the League Cup
Morrison 9/10 - very, very impressed
Ashby 5/10 - I like him more than some and he's not had a decent run in the side
Varane 7/10 - 8 in some games, 6 in others (more so at the start of the season)
Celar 3/10 - not convinced despite the two goals at Cardiff
Madsen 5/10 - there is definitely a player there, so I'm sitting on the fence
Saito 8/10 - love him and his attitude, which is worth a mark of its own
Dembele 7/10 - I'd love to see him have a good run in the team next season
Morgan 7/10 - same as Varane, except the other way round, and crucial in the turnaround
Lloyd 4/10 - mainly for his work rate |

Thanks for the link. It was a great listen and Ilias comes across very well.
It also makes me think that things might actually be moving in the right direction, which isn't how it's felt for about 75% of this season.

Agreed.
I also remember a night game in which Ollie was a sub. We were in the East Paddock and after about 20 minutes a couple of our players had already been injured. Ollie was warming up and asked the crowd if any of us had brought our boots.
On a less positive note, friends of ours were at an AFC Totton game recently and Charlie Austin told a young lad that he was too busy to give him an autograph. Charlie wasn't even playing. |

I'm so glad I stayed up to watch last night and I'm not a big golf fan.
McIlroy's shots on 15 and 17 were insane and his reaction to his winning putt was one of the great sporting moments. |

Incredibly, I think Drury is worse than Weaver.
Weaver may talk utter nonsense about history being written (Hull v Derby) and kings being crowned (Oxford v Preston) but at least he doesn't just shout the name of the person taking a shot every. single. time. they. take. a. shot.

That last minute goal was a complete sickener, but we've been there before with Coventry.
In 2007 we were drawing 1-1 with them at home and the match was in injury time. Coventry had a free kick on the corner of our box and my mate said to me "Oh well, a draw isn't too bad". Cue a Kevin Kyle header and a 2-1 defeat and me having a right go at my mate.
Up there with the time another mate said to me "Hinchcliffe will never score from there". |

Which came first? QPR's utter ambivalence towards the FA Cup or my utter ambivalence towards it?
I think it's probably the first one, but the 3rd round weekend has gone from one of my favourite weekends of the year in the 80s to my absolute worst. A 6-2 defeat did nothing to help this year, but the cliches, the patronising coverage of smaller clubs who actually get some coverage and inane nonsense of Ally "I'll tell you something" McCoist just did me in.
I can understand the changes to the team, although not the rhetoric from Marti before the match, and let's hope that they pay dividends over the next few matches... |
