He didn't have to answer the question or he could have referenced our financial limitations, competing with Clubs able to offer hugely better deals etc, but he didn't. Or perhaps he was just lying as you suggest. I got the impression he was happy with the players brought in but only "mostly" because we had missed out on the LB we were supposedly after, possibly Hayden and that we hadn't brought in another striker. |

This. I also saw and heard Marti say he was mostly happy with the summer signings, just after the window closed. |

I enjoyed us more last season when we had the pace and strength of Armstrong who despite not scoring too many and not having great ball control, still got past defenders and pulled others out of position opening up space we really didn't use enough. He was a threat and an entertaining watch. |

Ha! No. Don't remember him mentioning JCS then. Don't think he normally alerted the opposition to new or recurring injury problems like with JCS in those pre-game interviews, just the status on players who have been out before and without being that specific on the upcoming game. |

Marti has been giving injury updates prior to every game in his pre-match interviews. This just provided it in writing, with more precise Estimated return dates. |

Looks a good player on the ball to me, he is a good passer of the ball and moves faster than many think, his first goal for us an example. Think his defensive work is improving. |

I've always thought Warburton was a good Manager and with his career in Football and Finance, eminently well qualified to be a Director of Football with us. The League tables confirm his achievements with us as the best Manager we've had since Colin. Maybe he could work with Marti, possibly with Hoos in his current role, but doubt Nourry would welcome him as he would be a very strong candidate to replace him. |

According to Independent R's the Development squad got knocked out of the London Senior Cup 4-5 on penalties after drawing 1-1 after 90 minutes on a damp Tuesday night. It doesn't seem to have deserved a mention as yet on the Official. The report is dated 14 November 2024, so I take the chance that the game wasn't played on a Tuesday in the last century. |

Didn't the same people do last January well? Judging by our improved results from February to May I thought they did. We were quite lucky (or clever possibly) with injuries in that period. We've done badly since the summer window but obviously it's been a terrible time with the injuries, while the summer signings are bedding in. Personally don't think the summer intake was all bad, but unfortunately probably the key one Cellar has still not scored, though I think he's made a slight improvement in the last couple of games, and we didn't get another LB having let Larkeshe go. I'm ok with them doing the next window as long as Marti is well involved in player selection as I understand he was in the summer. |
| Forum Reply | Fan Mobilisation - Nourry Out at 01:40 11 Nov 2024
Nobody has to be blamed necessarily. We are bottom of the table, not far off where we'd be ranked by budget size or attendance with around 8 1st team players out injured including our best players, at the same time as we have been trying to bed in new players. Mistakes have no doubt been made, but there is still time to stay up this season by working hard in training, at getting injured players back asap, and if possible financially bringing in new players where we need them in January. "Fan mobilisation" against Nouri or anyone else at the Club isn't going to help that. |

Marti said Colback had an operation, on his knee if I remember right, a couple of weeks back, after they had delayed that hoping the problem would clear by itself. |

I thought Madsen had a very decent game going forward, rather confirmed by Sky Sports stats: Shots on target 1 - going low in the Corner well saved by Dieng. Key passes 1- to Celar, his good shot well saved. 49 Touches. 40 Passes. 85% Passing Accuracy. 0 Tackles or fouls won 1 Foul conceded. |

Agree with most of these comments. Maybe I missed it but I'd add Field wasn't always as good playing at CB as he has been this season. He used to get into the wrong position but looks to be much more comfortable there now. Only on that early gap between him and Cook that the Window nearly exploited an open door yesterday did they look not quite right. |

The Ref annoyed me by being so fussy about the ball being in precisely the right spot at corners and free kicks. He wasted time himself doing this and then gave a very short 5 minutes added time after their repeated time wasting particularly from their GK even with his yellow card, and the many substitutions including in his 5 minutes added. Got the red card right I think. |

Sinclair had threat too from his strength and speed, ability to get past last defenders and drag in others to stop him, leaving space for our other attackers who failed too often to use it. Sinclair provided excitement too. Dykes all round game was far better than Celar's too, to date. There were small signs yesterday that Celar may come good, here's to hope! [Post edited 3 Nov 9:43]

I really hope to see JCS's name in our starting 11. I couldn't see him in some training photos I saw from late this week I think, despite searching twice. |

Due to rising sea levels and frequently abandoned games resulting from major floods, all plans involving digging down have been abandoned. As most Clubs, we are looking to build a new stadium on top of in demand mountains. |
