Marti. Really want him to push through and get the ship/(tugboat) righted. As per the message board today...by some miracle he IS getting POS returns from at least HALF of the NINE newcomers....who have never played in an English league and probably are having all kinds of growing pains. As it is, three (or 4 if you count KD) of those (Ashby, Morrison, Morgan) ..who at least came through the ranks are some of those bright sparks. I put their continued rapid growth down to Marti. |

Interesting twist in the conversation. Is CN telling Marti who to pick in his team? Earlier MF said Kolli was 'unavailable' for ?? I am not beyond believing Chair and JCS are being 'conserved' for the Jan marketplace. |

Well done. hopefully the decision makers are listening and are as frustrated as we ALL are. In amongst those observations (in my eyes) is the how much Marti has done to take the scraps he had to make a rigid defense which currently is exposed by a poor midfield and even poorer attack. In the first 2 weeks at least there was Lyndon, whose absence actually created a chasm ... even commentators in Leeds game had to remark that 18 yr old Kieran Morgan and Varane were up against it dealing with a opponent full of Premier league players. All of our matches have established that we have zero output in attack. Yes, injuries maybe taking the line share of blame but on paper this IS the worst line-up in the division. Is it by chance or a silver lining maybe, that most of this cast are on expiring contracts or on loan. [Post edited 18 Nov 17:19]

I second that. Given current vibes I think he is exactly the sort we need. A real experienced football mind with knowledge of the league. |

It seems like an age ago but Flavio and Bernie were the poster children for lack of patience. Considering the pedigree of our owners, it stands to reason they will ultimately begin to show a short leash. If the rumor mill had linked us to Lampard, Robins or a return of Beale then Ok. But another AI recruitment ? Sorry but Les currently looks golden. Les brought in the likes of Smithies, Luongo, Freeman, Eze, BOS, Manning, Geoff Cameron, Yoann. He might have even still been here if he kept Eustace. |

What i read is that the brass should have done more to keep the core (him included), but instead went cheap (or NOT at all). Notable is his support for the gaffer. |

This rumor only serves as fodder for the belief that Noury may be feeling pressure and this could be HIS preemptive strike. question is whether his proposed drone attack is actually vetted by command. |

To me THIS is what NAILS it! In this day and age with so much chatter out there, we all saw stories of interest in this player and that player but in the end we balked. Ben Doak, Josh Murphy, Run-Sayki to name a few. At this point it looks like keeping Lyndon, Lakareche and Willock might have saved money! I know Nardi has been given a waiver but how does Milwall get a guy in the same Market, from Lincoln who looks clearly like a better deal? like many have pointed out trolling the foreign markets and expecting STATS to equate to results in the Championship have NOT worked. Sometimes we must admit a mistake, and sometimes correct it before it becomes terminal... [Post edited 11 Nov 22:20]

I echo your perspective. Looking at the last few games .. are All our opponents, their bench players would walk into this team. Joe Piroe, Simms, Latte .. it is outrageous. I did think Morrison could have gotten a call with Sam going into midfield at the half. But Anderson, Madsen, Santos could be excised and make the team better I still think Marti is setting us up and after he gets HIS chance to get players In Jan, we will see what we can do. |

In this day and age back room staff jobs are very volatile. I dont expect that Ruben et al will let this persist WITH January around the corner. Experiment complete, I would not be too surprised if a Gallen reunion or at least an experienced football mind is pulled into furnace. |

I concur. -Millwall have the 3 1-0 wins, and I also agree OUR defenders Cook, Field and Dunne have been the main difference in NOT getting wins because bad luck/poor finishing when presented with gilt edge chances. -Agree again Smythe is our best option off the bench but is lost by having to start. that said, Paal was getting shelled here in the early season, now he is injured we are better defensively. -I thought field was a revelation as a JCS replacement the first time. Now i expect him to rotate with JCS. With him at LCB the midfield mix has also gotten stronger. Hopefully we can get Dembele and Chair clicking together and shots on target becoming a more regular occurrence. I do think an early Chair goal would bring a huge collective sigh of relief. -Lack of Forwards. Dane Scarlet, Josh Murphy even Big Brother Dembele might have been really nice difference makers, (even as Jesurun Rak-Sakyi languishes in Sheffield). I thought too we might see Lloyd start in place of Celar. [Post edited 4 Nov 21:20]

I hope he gets another look in the LWB role. Another shout to Marti for uncovering another coaching gem. |
