I preferred Top Gear when Quentin Willson and Tiff were presenting< Both at the top of their game and utterly engaging..... |
| Forum Thread | Henry should replace Barton as captain. at 12:16 23 Feb 2015
IMO Henry should be given the captains armband until possibly Dunne is back. He has fast become one of my favorite players this season with consistent good, and at times brilliant midfield displays. 1. He sticks to the job given to him by the manager religiously. 2. He's always talking and encouraging others around him. 3. He spots teammates out of position and barks at them to correct it. 4. Never gets involved in nasty and unnecessary off the ball stuff. Basically a disciplined professional. 5. His only bookings come from spotting danger and 'taking one for the team' apart from a couple of clumsy tackles. All of the above means, for me, he is the man for the job looking at the players CR is using. One things for sure - Joey should never captain us again and for me his sh1t displays have far outweighed his good ones this season. I will be glad to see the back of him especially as he seems to think he's better than us which is fu@king laughable. |

What's he doing? |
| Forum Thread | Les. at 16:14 12 Jan 2015
I loved him as a kid. He has given me so many happy memories. I loved him because he was 'one of us' (even though he's Spurs). I loved him because whenever interviewed (when we were in Leagues 1 and 2 and were a forgotten side) he'd always mention us and what a great football club we are. I had always hoped he'd 'come home' and rekindle that special relationship between him and us. He's back now but why does his return stink of just picking up a healthy salary and not much else. It breaks my heart so see someone I loved and respected so much and truly thought he really felt something for the club return in this way. Totally gutted.... |

I noticed a little interview with him on SSN on Saturday. Although I was only paying little attention to it (because I just can't stomach JB interviews anymore), I'm pretty sure he stated that he would only be happy to stay at Rangers if we survived this season. If that's what he said then the bloke has got a fu@king cheek. On his currant form he's a Championship player. The only reason he still makes the starting 11 is because Harry's still the Manager. I'm sick to death of watching this little prick fu@k up every short pass week in week out and still think he can spray a fancy ones all over the pitch. He also mentioned that he thinks he's got 5 - 6 more good seasons left in him! Dream on Joey, your living on borrowed Premiership time with us mate so if you think there will be plenty of other PL offers for you you really are a thick mug-boat kunt. He clearly still regards Rangers as below him which I find utterly astonishing. His pace is so bad a times he appears to be running backwards and his dead balls are pathetic. On the pitch he's sh1t, off it he's embarrassing. Fu@k off Joey. |
| Forum Reply | Phillips at 16:55 16 Dec 2014
I know Phillips is an attacking player so tackling is not the thing he'll be working on at any opportunity on the training ground but it is a basic skill any footballer in any position needs. I can't remember the last time he went in for a challenge fully committed. For a man of his size and build it's fu@king embarrassing. For some footballers, the first full blooded tackle they should go in for after a bad leg injury will play in their mind a bit. Fair enough. Phillips has no such excuse, he broke his arm, not a leg. I remember Faurlin after his first cruciate injury, he went in on a crunching tackle and got up with a little smile on his face as if to say 'yeah, that felt good, I'm back'. It got that Monkey off his back straight away. Take note Phillips - you effing bottle job. |
| Forum Thread | First two goals. at 08:55 16 Dec 2014
Killed our chances (and most other teams in this league away from home). Both deflections. The first was NOT going in until it hit Isla. The second Green would have saved had it not hit Vargas(?). That's hard to take after such a positive start. |

Phillips is a joke. He is not even close to being a Premiership footballer (whatever that means). How long has he been with us now? I was all for the 'lets work with him because he has the essential tools and just needs good coaching'. Absolutely nothing has improved apart from his physique which I suspect he cares about more than actually improving as a footballer. And I'm sick of watching him bottle out of every fu@king tackle there is for him to win. Fu@k right off Matty Boy. [Post edited 16 Dec 2014 8:46]

Apologies - must have missed em. Although I think his shocking performance warrants a specific post about it. |

...in last night's performance. So I think I will (IMO). Shit. Really shit. He did his 'job' so badly it was ridiculous. Gave the ball away time and time again. It wasn't even the Hollywood stuff this time, it was the simple short passes. The defense was suffering enough from Swansea's relentless pressure without him giving them a hand. Sort it out Joey. Sort it out quickly. |

Yup, Seaman got it from the Loft on his return. Took it all really well as it was mostly done with humor. Remember the bloke behind me screaming "at least your haircut hasn't changed Spunky", to which Spunky turned round with a huge smile and gave the thumbs up. Ah, the old days...... |

This post is really quite sad. The chant you're referring to was, as I said to my mate at the time "funny, and really quite accurate"....if a little crassly delivered (which makes it even more funny). |

And what about our youth system? We're all desperate to see what was once a very important and proud part of Queens Park Rangers F.C. Producing very talented football players. And from what I understand, at the moment they don't even train in the same place as the first team! Not even being in the same place so they can be inspired by the first team is unforgivable if you ask me. |

It effing well is essential. This really pisses me off. How are we going to attract the better players to come and play for us when our 'office' is a sh1thole? It's where all the work is done in order to be a successful team/club. So we fly or drive our potential signing over to us and show him round our lovely new stadium. He's really impressed and the terms are right for both parties. Then, we take him to our rented joke of a training ground where the facility's are no where near good enough and he has second thoughts about joining us. It's like showing a really talented potential employee your boardroom in Mayfair where all the big decisions are made once a week in lovely inspiring surroundings only for him to find out the day to day work is run out of a porta cabin under the Westway. A crass way of getting my point across but you see what I mean. |
| Forum Reply | David McIntyre update on the Old Oak development. at 10:42 4 Sep 2014
No I don't believe they are doing it for the love of football but I certainly don't believe they are building a new 30, 35 or 40k stadium and half fill it every home game. And it will be half empty if we are not a successful team. as much as it pains me to say it, staying in the Premier League is deemed as successful even if you are bumming around mid to low table season after season. So we need the ground to be full every home game and that means having a successful team. The training ground is one of the most important parts of that. |
| Forum Reply | Somebody just asked me why I support Queen's Park Rangers. at 10:16 4 Sep 2014
As you can see from my user name, I'm a local boy. My dad supported Rangers so obviously my brother and I were always going to be Rangers as he'd take us all the time. I'll never forget walking up the steps and seeing the pitch and the stadium for the first time. Best feeling in the world. So two choices round my way, Rangers or Chelsea (thanks dad for getting us to fall in love with the right club). I went to Holland Park comprehensive. The dislike between us and Chelsea was so bad that we'd sit on one side of the classroom and the scum the other. Anyone else that supported Man U, Liverpool or any of the others (there wasn't that many) was told to fu@ck off and find a seat in the non segregated areas of the classroom. Good times..... I got all a bit nostalgic there..... |

This is all positive news but what about the training ground? You know, the place where the players, coaches, manager (I hope), youth teams, fitness coaches etc spend most of their time. The really fu@king important place!!!! Not saying the stadium isn't important but come on, our currant training ground is shocking by all accounts..... |

No offense but I think your deviating slightly from the subject. My point is that in top level sport psychologists can, and have been proven to, make a difference/improve performance. Our players are playing at the very top level (as Sky presenters/slaves take such pleasure in ramming down out throats so regularly). The GB track team and the SKY tour team are also at the top of their sport. Comparisons can clearly be made. What you seem to be saying is that no comparison can be made because football (Premier League) players are over paid, pampered, and yes, your right, some of them sh1t. This is a totally different subject and one that I would definitely agree with you on. |
