| Forum Reply | Kaplan and Levien now own 3 sports teams that are all in last place at 10:10 1 Jan 2018
Yep. It's infuriating how OF ALL the people who wanted to buy our club, we somehow ended with these con artists. By Jenkins' own admission we had proposals from buyers in South Africa, Monaco, China, multiple ones from America, and somehow we ended up with the worst freaking one. It's inconceivable to think that anyone could possibly do a poorer job than these Yanks have done since they took over. Sometimes I think they're secret Cardiff supporters looking to sabotage us. They've been that poor. |

He did say that. Not in those words, but he 100% expressed that the Americans will not be putting any money in and that there is no cash to help with player funding. So there's no spare cash from them to help with player funding? HJ: “No, there's no money put in at this time to do that. No. But you can't forget that the ongoing situation as well with the Trust and other shareholders, that even if they did put money in, there would be the argument about dilution of shares because that's the way that they can introduce capital.” They invested money by buying shares, but have they put any money at all beyond that to fund the running of the club? HJ: “We've increased our overdraft, we've done various things." Is there any player the Americans have funded to bring in? HJ: “The financial position we were in in 2016, there were discussions that perhaps we would have had to reduce our borrowings at that time, so we would have been selling more players than we were forced to do. |

I remember that. I was angry about it then and angry about it now--there really should have been more of an effort by the supporters to force their hand and get them to reinvest the profits back in the club. Jenkins got away with it then as everyone was stuck in the "In Huw We Trust" bullshit during that time. It's a bit eerie talking about it now as it foreshadowed what was to come and was the first sign of what a greedy, duplicitous bastard Jenkins was and still is. |
| Forum Thread | For the 2nd straight time we've appointed a recently sacked Championship manager at 13:00 28 Dec 2017
As usual, Jenkins and the Americans go with the cheap yes man option. The first time Marcelino, Rudi Garcia, and Andre Villas-Boas were all available yet somehow they appointed Paul Clement after he failed at Derby, and now we've got Carlos fvcking Carvalhal fresh from leaving the Owls 16th in the table. Great. |

Lad is League Two quality at best. Pound for pound the worst signing in EPL history. |
| Forum Reply | Tammy was awful yesterday, time for a rethink. at 16:14 3 Dec 2017
Gee Res, remember that thread you made a few months ago where you said Tammy showed us what Llorente "had been missing all last season" and how he "will take our forward play to the next level?" And now Tammy is "awful" and "non existent in too many of our games?" What gives? I thought he was the savior who had everything Llorente didn't and the one who, as you said, was going to take us "to the next level." LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL |
| Forum Reply | Remember this? at 09:17 3 Dec 2017
Absolutely amazing when he said this when he spent 16m on League Two player Sam Clucas. He's the kind of player you wouldn't even want for free if you're a Prem or Championship side. |
| Forum Reply | We broke the record for fewest shots on target after 15 games played (since '04) at 09:12 3 Dec 2017
We have just 8 goals scored after 15 games played. That's an average of just 0.53 goals per game. If we are to break the Derby record of 20 and not get confined to the Prem history books as the worst offensive side ever, we'll need at least 13 goals in our remaining 23 games, which is an average of 0.57 goals per game. It sounds and looks so easy but for a historically poor side such as ours it's going to be a challenge. One thing's for sure: if we continue at our rate of 0.53 goals per game simple arithmetic tells you that we're not going to score more than 20 goals by the end of the season, meaning we'll tie Derby. And that would be flat out pathetic. |
| Forum Reply | Reminder: We paid a £7.65m loan fee for Renato Sanches at 03:34 30 Nov 2017
Earlier in this thread I said that Renato Sanches is the most overrated player in world football today (quoted above). I rest my case. We literally have a fvcking guy on our hands who passes to advertising board logos. With the way he's played thus far you'd think he was an average joe from the stands trying futilely to masquerade as a professional footballer. He needs to go by January. Seriously. Just because Bayern paid £30m that doesn't automatically mean he's actually a £30m player. Clubs make catastrophic mistakes all the time. Hell, Liverpool paid £40m for Andy Carroll. Perhaps even worse we paid £16m for Sam Clucas of all people. Sanches is just another case of a kid who believed in his own hype after just one good season and thought he was good enough for the big boys. It happens all the time--Gourcuff, Anderson, Halilovic, etc. [Post edited 30 Nov 2017 3:37]

Yesterday Marcelino's Valencia drew 1-1 with Barca. His side is now unbeaten against the top 4 in Spain (Atletico, Real, Barca, and Sevilla). It just keeps getting better and better for him over there. |
