Ashby.

He's also taken a few air kicks when trying to clear that almost resulted in goals conceded but for the alertness of Nardi. He thinks it's a good idea take on forwards in his own defensive third. This plus the points you raised belies a lack of a footballing brain. Someone needs to get a hold of him to discuss his general decision making and coach him to keep it simple and stay in his lane.

WLS assessment:

"Nicolas Madsen: 5 - A complete non-performance. At times it was easy to forget Madsen was actually on the pitch."

Nail on head.

"Don’t disagree with your list of who isn’t good enough but how would we get rid of them?"

We can get rid of Ashby by sending him back to his parent club.

Sure. And whilst we're in a sharing mood perhaps you could submit a request to Nourry that Marti and Xavi post their team sheet, formation, and tactics a week ahead of each game.

Indeed, he explained after the away win at Luton. The second instalment of a marvellous treble.

With respect to the first goal it wasn't factually correct, it's his opinion. I'd accept the argument that it could've been ruled out for handball. To say it should've comes across as rather peddy (see what I did there) and partisan.

Whilst the second goal itself was fortunate, QPR were the better team and deserved the win. His report gives the reader the impression that Luton were the superior side and the footballing gods are against them.

Taken with a pinch of salt, naturally, but nice to hear him say he's looking forward to another 250 appearances for the club.

Funny Boston, I thought the same thing when I read his report. A wee bit too much emphasis on how unfortunate Luton were, how lucky QPR's winning goal was, and how QPR's first goal should've been ruled out for handball.

Is it too early?
at 15:33 7 Jan 2025

It's not too early to start negotiations with whichever players the club wishes to retain come what may (Dunne being the standout example).

Beyond that, it is too early to make any firm assumptions based on our current league position. In 6 short weeks we've gone from rock bottom to mid-table. The Championship is a crazy league. Many outcomes are still possible at this stage.
