Blackburn Reflection 22:07 - Feb 4 with 1535 viewsbluenwhite10

Played really well in the 1st half and I thought it might come back to haunt us a bit when we missed our chances to go 2 up.

I honestly thought when Blackburn equalised there would be only one winner and that weren’t going to us and although they had lots of possession we in general defended well.

A cracking strike by Jack took the points against a very good side.

Some good performances especially from Nardi who made some excellent saves l, but one player really stood out tonight in defence and bringing the ball out of the back Ronnie Edwards was different class.

Really important 3 points tonight as 3 defeats really would have done the confidence in.

Come on you R’s

I thought Chair was really influential today, just such a shame he couldn't finish one of those chances... would have done him the world of good.. but still a good performance from him.
The new Korean lad was quiet, and though Smith was doing well down that flank, but worked out in the end. Good 3 pts against somewhat of a bogey team at home as well.

Having Chair back makes such a difference, even when he's not been quite on form, because he so rarely loses the ball.

Sam Field said in a recent podcast that this team doesn’t do long losing streaks .
After the Boxing Day drubbing by Swansea they just got back on the horse and did the business.
Same thing has happened after the Wednesday and Millwall defeats.
Great character after the penalty concession.
Kept driving forward time after time and got a deserved win .
Edwards my MOTM . Sublime .
Marti’s subtitutions gave us as that extra impetus .
Not getting carried away but this team has definitely got top 10 about them .

Good character win from us. I thought Blackburn were a decent side too- bit of pace and looked a threat. Eustace done a good job there

All the above but great to play a side who embrace a game of football without constantly rolling about on the floor. Referee certainly helped with that, largely ignoring any malarkey early on, and set the tone.

Very good point.

Only really Travis with any sort of dark arts but I’d expect nothing less.

One of the many things in modern football that irritates me these days is the amount of time all teams , including us , take to get back into position after they score. Sometimes it’s ages and refs don’t crack down on it . Last night Blackburn celebrated together then jogged as a team back to their own half . Not seen that for many a year . Fair play
