My favourite era watching the Swans had a lot to do with the whole football/Swansea scene at the time.
Made some great friendships, some of whom are unfortunately no longer with us.
Great memories.
Frankie Burrows is my all time favourite Swans manager.
Some might have achieved more, few, if any, were more deserving of respect.
Pain or damage don't end the world. Or despair, or f*cking beatings. The world ends when you're dead. Until then, you got more punishment in store. Stand it like a man... and give some back.

Unlike certain other managers, Frankie treated our club and the fans with respect and he would never have sat there meekly and put up with the display we witnessed in Portsmouth.
I used to work at the Vetch and he treated us staff with respect too. He was a good bloke.

What he achieved, with the budget he had, in the style he did, with the class displayed, there's simply nobody better for me.

he also took no crap from the players. I was at a dinner for Bobby Smiths testimonial. It was after we had won the Autoglass the players and been at a reception that afternoon with the Whites players and were well lubricated before arriving. During one of the speeches by a guest speaker the players were talking amongst themselves loudly .Big Frank got up and roasted them them singled out Cornforth telling him he should know better and be in my office first thing. I was sat with Robin Sharpe who commented about ut not wanting to be Corny. The room was deadly silent from then on.

He was everything the likes of Martin and Williams aren’t - a pragmatic man who never moaned about his threadbare transfer budget but squeezed every last effort out of his willing and hardworking (if mostly uncelebrated) squad.
A man who was tough and demanded respect but was respected by the players and rightly loved by the fans. A strange golden era flirting with promotion via the play offs but ultimately not quite getting there thanks to Colin West. We went to Wembley for the first time and we owe that to Frankie. A great manager for us under difficult conditions.
Anyone else remember when Frank Burrows came back to the Vetch in the late nineties when he was Cardiff manager and he had a rapturous reception from the Swans fans sitting in the Centre Stand as he walked from the tunnel to the bench just before kick-off?
Burrow’s favourite manager, but the football I enjoyed the most was under Rogers in the championship.
I've seen them all come and go from Roy Bentley. Without being nostalgic for the sake of it, my favourite time was Laudrup. We mixed it with the best including Europe. This is the time when I thought to myself, is it really my club doing this. Happy happy days.

The Rodgers football once he put Dobbie in as an AM is a contender. It's easy to forget that quite often when he went for his Britton/Gower/Orlandi midfield we weren't all that fun to watch. Ditto the first season in the Prem. As soon as Siggy came in at the midfield sharp end our football just clicked into another gear.
I'm going to go out on a limb and list the 2005/2006 season under Kenny J as one of my favourites too. Something like 110 goals scored in all competitions that campaign. We were a hell of a lot more fun, and played better football, than some of his critics even today will admit.
