I would like to see Chair when back up to speed, moved to the 10 position, leave Saito out wide. I've always thought Chair would be a better 10 and give him the freedom to roam in that space. |

Not sure there is much space in a 10 role these days hence him playing from the flanks.
Kolli looks very dynamic, strong and pacey would love to see him and Frey combining up front.

He's big, for sure, but he needs to become much more of a bully for me, as he's too often bustling but ineffective. I know he's just coming back, but contributed little in his 30 minutes, and looked a bit heavy to me. It might be a bit harsh, but I'd be OK if he were released/replaced in January, as I think we need to do better in his position, both in numbers and quality. | |

He was the perfect sub yesterday. He's a monster charging in on the back line and any thought Preston had of salvaging any control of the game was pretty much extinguished when he came on. He plays his part does Michi. [Post edited 22 Dec 22:29]

Apart from a lack of pace Frey, has all the necessary qualities and is a really good striker for us.
Watched him in the shooting practice during the warm ups before Saturday and every shot was thumped into the net. He didn't miss.
Feed the 'beast' and he will perform.
If we can keep him fit, Marti will look after him, rotate him with the younger lads and Michi will play his part. |  | | |

In considering whether you start Frey or Kolli, you look to what should be Kolli's obvious weakness winning the outball in the air, and he's seems significantly better at this than Frey.
Frey is really poor at winning the outball in the air, so unless he becomes an unlikely Stuart Wardley goal machine he doesn't start in front of Kolli for me. | | | |

I can't say that I've noticed that with Frey. I'll watch for in the next few games. I'm not sure that Kolli consistently wins them either, although I have noticed that he sometimes gets up early and has that ability to hang in the air. Denis Law was well known for that skill. | | | |

I think the 9 shirt is Kolli's now until it is not. Can't argue with the goal record, he lays the ball of well and will get stronger but because he has pace it will make the defensives drop deeper and give us room to play in front or enable us to get behind.
Re Chair at 10, Just like Eze before him I always thought he was better of starting on the left and drifting in, gets easily picked up by the holding midfielder who can man mark when central as he gets older I'd like to seem evolve into a Modric like 8 |  | | |
