Remember him?

Signed on a one year deal to Colchester United ( deal or no deal or sham? ) on 1st September 2023.

Loaned out to Maldon & Tiptree before the ink was dry.

Zero appearances for Colchester United ( from what l can make out ).

And...surprise surprise...he is back at Truro City.

What did this cost the club?

WTF?

😳😳

Probably very little and worth seeing if he might 'makeit' and certainly less than Conor Wilkinspn who seems to be going well at Solihull.

This name meant nothing to me. I had to look him up to see who he was.

I guess he was just someone we signed short-term that was too old for our development squad, so we sent him to M&T to see if he was worth keeping.

A little more about the signing of Yassine En - Neyah.

Yassine is featured at Florence Park in an interview with Colu TV. This was on September 1st, 2023 which was the day the transfer window opened.

It is clear from the interview that he was going to Maldon and Tiptree on loan and in just a matter of a few hours he is being interviewed for Jammers TV.

As l understand it, Yassine had a very short training session on the 1st September and having not played any competitive football for several months ( from what l can make out ) was selected to play in an F. A. Cup qualifier at Biggleswade within 48 hours of his arrival.

The result of that match was Biggleswade 8 Maldon and Tiptree 0, and this against an under strength Biggleswade side.

Just to join a few dots up here, Yassine had played for Waterford F.C. in Ireland while Mitchell Cowling was Chairman of the club.

At the time of Yassine's arrival at Maldon and Tiptree he was able to reacquaint himself with Mitchell Cowling who was General Manager at The Jammers.

So maybe his Colchester United one year deal was orchestrated by Mitchell Cowling - or perhaps not.

If local media are announcing and interviewing the arrival of players then perhaps it should inform the public when players are released. It's fair to say that it usually does but in this instance information appears to have been suppressed.

That is only my take on things and l stand to be corrected.

Either way, Yassine is now back with Truro City in The National League South who can pull in ten times the crowd
that he would expect to play in front of at The Jammers.

Is this the Waterford you refer to?

If we can't remember him, then I think we'll let the club off for forgetting to mention him when they announced their released/retained list 😆

Given his connection to Waterford FC and the fact that the club appears to be a magnet for criminals/fraudsters, perhaps, for anyone who values their kneecaps, he is best forgotten.

'Knee caps' does actually come into the equation with this saga.

A Director of a club currently in Division 2 was set upon twice. The first attack occured in front of his daughter and he was in hospital for two weeks. Baseball bat to the knees. Reported to local police.

Following this attack there was another. This wasn't reported to the police but serious injuries were sustained by the same individual.

These attacks have a paper trail over to Waterford.

They don't have any link to Colchester United or Maldon and Tiptree F.C.

A Colchester resident was employed as a body guard to a board member at the football club concerned.

The situation eventually calmed down.

The Colchester resident l refer to features in several interesting books that have been released in recent years.

Something else l learned while being detailed on this was that the Director of Football at the club concerned would often pick the team and leave the Head Coach to take the flack post match on numerous occasions.

The Director of Football's line up would be written on a paper napkin during a light lunch taken at a casino in Park Lane in London around mid day.

This would be for home matches played about an eighty minute drive going West.

You won't get anything like this through media channels.
