The perverse thing is had we not signed those three, we would have been £50m better off as a championship club, however, Jenkins ALWAYS, looked for that player others wouldn't buy even back in the early days. To compete, we had to do things different, the way we played, the way we chose a manager, the way we brought in players. We didn't get relegated because of those three players, we got relegated because Cavalhal lost his bottle.

But we weren't doing things differently then, as the accounts showed before the sale we were losing money hand over foot. Dare I say it how much of a difference would it have made to Potter without the need for a mass fire sale. But that ship has sailed.

Again the lie about Carvalhal. We were doing just fine under him until Fer got injured. After that we were knackered. Our points per game average basically halved. It was not CC's fault that he was then forced to base his midfield around a Korean sh*thouse who played like he'd already arranged a move elsewhere. From comfortably beating the likes of Liverpool to losing to Southampton and Stoke. Was he a great manager? No. Clearly not. But if any manager was to blame that season it was Clement for sending teams out to face the likes of Leicester, Watford and Brighton as if we were playing Man City. We dropped at least nine winnable points in home games against beatable opposition by being cowardly. [Post edited 3 Oct 2023 6:55]

| Pain or damage don't end the world. Or despair, or f*cking beatings. The world ends when you're dead. Until then, you got more punishment in store. Stand it like a man... and give some back. |
