Damiano Tommasi always stands out for me as someone I struggle to remember but was relatively high profile and played for us. Think he's heavily involved in politics now.

All those Italian signings (Pellicori, Tommassi, Di Carmine etc) always struck me as bent.
Traore for me gets away with it, in same way Zamora did for one footballing play.
Zamora in minute 90 at Wembley.
Traores run and cross for Mackies diving header in the A guer oo game at the Etihad. One of most satisfying orgasms of my life happened right there in that moment !!!

Ossie Ardiles.
Remember him being booed by our fans at LR while playing for us, due mainly I think to an incident when he was at Spurs where he was photographed smiling as Mark Dennis was sent off. There was also still a lot of anti Argentina feeling back then due to the whole Falklands thing.
Ned "its the wrong type of grass" Zelic - our most expensive signing at the time
"He had a brief stint in the Premier League for QPR, moving for a club record £1.25 million,[1] which was beset by injury and discontent. After just 4 Premier League games for the West London club, he departed to Eintracht Frankfurt in Germany" courtesy of wikipedia.

Karl Elsey. Sadly, I remember watching him play for us, but I still can't understand how he was a professional footballer!
0.30 … “Pick that out of the net!” Elsey with a thunderbastard!
He also played in the Newport County side that got to and narrowly lost in a European Quarter Final in 1981. Okay it was the Cup Winners Cup and they only had to beat part timers from Northern Ireland and Norway to get that far but still. Surprised he played as many as 7 games for us. I think he scored in one of them though it may have been an own goal.

Played most of the 1979-80 season, my first as a regular attendee. I think Venables preferred Burridge and he left us.
Just checked, 63 games for us, 40+ England caps afterwards!

I always thought TV was too quick to dump Woods after he took over. Yes he made the odd rick but he was still very young and very raw. Brian Clough saw enough in him to trust him to play in Forest's 1978 League Cup winning team as an 18 year old when Shilton was cup tied.
When you see how his career later panned out after leaving us you have to think that Venables, who did little if anything wrong when he was our manager, was a tad hasty.
Like others have said about other players, I remember him being here, but never got a look in. This one went on to be a Prem League regular. Goalkeeper Alex McCarthy.
Was here for less than 12 months, played 3 games according to Wiki and then went Palace for £3.5m
