Seny and Sam off next? 09:30 - Jun 29 with 13790 viewsQPunkR

FLW reckoning Hull and Boro are in for Seny :( This would make me particularly sad as it's not exactly a massive step up for him.

https://footballleagueworld.co.uk/middlesbrough-hull-in-transfer-tussle-for-qpr-

Also talk elsewhere of Field being eyed up :( :(

Shit but local

I'd be alarmed if Archer was the no 1 keeper this season. If Dieng goes we definitely need a replacement.

I've not seen enough of him to comment.

He played 144 times for Millwall and 30 games under Ainsworth in his first season at Wycombe

Interesting wiki page.... From player of the season to absolute howlers. Sounds a bit like Joe Lumley.

Yes, I would be really worried if Archer is our keeper next season. Apart from one good penalty shootout he has looked shocking. We would need to replace Seny but sadly I think the club would have to bank the money 😭

The reality of selling players for £3m is that it covers a month and a half of our debt. In much the same way it does since Andrew (the Devil) Bailey has added to my mortgage.

Never knowingly right.

Just hope one of the major Dykes add-on's isn't him being capped by England.

Can we not knock it?

There's a vague, possibly made up rumour that Willock may be off to Watford for £3m as well this morning.

There's also a strong completely made up rumour that I've just made up that Newcastle want Chair for £50m. Let's see if anyone of the bedroom journalists on NewsNow picks that up?

Unless Field signs an extension or new contract (like Dykes) then he will be sold. He's out of contract next year with no option.

The club has an option for a further year to 2025 on Field's contract.

Begovic is a done deal to be announced on Monday morning.

Seny is off but who knows where

Probably makes sense but don't believe everything you read..

Tbh Seny was bang average last season , some saves that could be said to be worldies but lot of goals conceded that were a bit too easy for the opposition to score !!!

With regards to selling Sam Field.

If that's for 3 million or less, what's the point.

He was the best most consistent performer by a country mile last season so if its between 6 to 10 million absolutely but you not going get guarantees with only an extra 3 million, so why risk getting rid. Be peed off and mightily surprised if Field is let go !!!

I think Seny is getting a bit of a bad rap for last season…pretty much everyone was bad last season and the defense especially. His value is definitely more in distribution than pure shot stopping, but I think he is a more than good Championship goalie. But with GA seeming to not want to do as much playing out from the back, his strengths will not be maximized and he should go.

As for Begovic, he hasn’t played much the last few seasons and I can’t imagine what his wage expectations are…

OK then so what's your source for this information, surely not one of the clickbait sites.

I must admit I can see we may well have to sell Dieng because he's very marketable and we all know we need to balance the books. As for his performances last season I think it's very unfair to judge him during a catastrophic season where the defence in front of him was shambolic at times, we know he's a good keeper and he has given us some great performances, personally will be sorry to see him go.

Love Field and pray he stays but he was a one eyed man in the kingdom of the blind last season and it’s debatable whether we’d get 3 million for him .
If we get an offer for him I should imagine he’ll go.

I would be very sorry to see Sam Field go. If he does, then it should be for more than a trifling sum. His stats - headers, tackles, interceptions etc - will play a part in any valuation. Entirely subjectively, I imagine they are prety good. Anyone know what Sam Field's playing stats look like...

I know he was our player of the season last year and he's probably hedging his options.

Someone should say to Sam; the grass isn't always greener.

But inevitably hes got to make hay while the sun shines.

Well accepting that we have to sell I just hope the club has the balls to hold onto the players until we get a fee that meets our valuation, clubs like Leeds have parachute money and there's teams in the Prem who will pay millions for a back up goalkeeper.

The more ppl interested in Dieng the better. One of the big problems we’ve had, particularly with Smithies for example, is there’s only ever been one bidder for our players. Eze we were able to extract some great add ins and a big fee because there was plenty of interest. Must say, clickbait or no, the idea of selling Dieng to replace with a 40 year old is bleak, particularly as Harry Istead moved for nothing a week ago.

I think we should take comfort from the Dykes situation.
It would have been very easy to have said "thanks" to Millwall and grabbed the £2m (assuming that number's correct), but we didn't.
That suggests to me that we're definitely going to fight our corner. Of course, if the player wants to go (such as Dickie) then your whole negotiating stance becomes that much weaker.
Certainly nothing to suggest that Sam Field wants to go. Seny, I guess might be a different story, but Boro and Hull? Doesn't sound like much of a step forward to me.

I wouldn't have a problem if we got Begovic as a replacement for Dieng. Yes, he's a bit older - 36 - but has a pretty decent record. He's opening a new soccer school at the end of July in Chiswick so he's connected to West London and apparently committed to being around until he retires.

3 years out of him for no fee wouldn't be bad business.

It's always noisiest at the shallow end
