Stoke City v Swansea City : Match Day Thread ( Not ) Not Loyal 01:02 - Feb 7 with 23297 views | KeithHaynes | A disgraceful piece of behaviour from the favoured Not Loyal who after agreeing to supply Swansea Independent with every match day thread this season he has gone missing. We have spoken to his representatives but all we are hearing is he isn’t happy. His Mrs states he isn’t in the right frame of mind so we have sent some site representatives round to his house to assess him. It seems he really isn’t ready to supply us with this Tuesdays match day thread so we can only assume he is getting in some training. We can’t wait 😂 Everyone is hanging on tender hooks for this one. Any swans fan not going can subscribe to swans tv. Maybe some will be daring enough to surf the web for a free view. Even the hardiest of souls on a midweek think twice about their travel plans with School, work and just life itself getting in the way. Stoke City v Swansea City : Match Day Thread ( Not ) Not Loyal on 22:03 - Feb 8 by Kilkennyjack | Dreadful tonight. Stoke away is a very probable defeat when you look the season. So its not the result. Its the naivety, its the lack of fight, the lack of on field leadership, the lack of belief, and the lack of good shape. Looks like he has lost the dressing room. We need a proven motivator and experienced coach pronto. |
Got to admit I’m coming around to this way of thinking now.

Stoke City v Swansea City : Match Day Thread ( Not ) Not Loyal on 21:57 - Feb 8 by nantywatcher | Please explain to me your response. The man is so far out of depth it's frightening. He has not a clue what a footballer looks like Wolf,Fisher awful signings. Enlighten me please. |
Young manager, first steps into the championship, 2/3s into the season and 15 points off the relegation zone. Come in to a club on the eve of the new season, no pre season, more than half the team lost from the previous season, lost a month of football due to covid during the season. That's my response, I could be wrong but I have seen enough all things considered that he can do something here. The lack of options in the final 3rd is a headache for me as a fan, that needs to be addressed for next season or we have no chance to push on. There is a player in Wolf but the jury is certainly out for Fisher.

Potter and Cooper were young inexperienced managers but they both managed to improve the teams performance as the season went on as well as adapting tactics throughout the season. We are going backwards under Martin who keeps making the same mistakes.

Take away the 21 point and 6 point head starts, and we would currently be 7 points ahead, having played one extra match.

I'm sorry but the facts speak for themselves....his history at MKDons....his selection of players out of position...his arrogance....Martinez had less than 1 and a half seasons in management...like Martin gained in lg1 at a club he knew yet in his 3rd season of management and his first in the Championship took us to 8th place...

That's a fair point and fact, Martinez was superb and can't be argued with. There is always a flip and counter act Rodgers done decent with Watford and then crashed at Reading and ultimately left.... I bet they wished they stuck with him in hindsight. There have been calls for Martin to change style, formation etc and he appears to have done so but without instant success..... He is showing he is willing to adapt although tonight was a worrying change. He needs to find the right system and I think the remaining games will have a big say in him finding it, there again my faith could be proven wrong. He needs to go to a back 4, play with Wingers for me, he needs to continue his passing piloshopy and having the Wingers as outlets...... Get it right and I think we could be on to something.

Back 4 and wingers agree that's what we need to try. Do we have any wingers though there is hardly any pace in the team.

very true Jasper....what worries me now is the split in our fan base and the investment in Martin which may mean he will still be here come the summer. I m concerned as unlike other young/rookie managers we have had he does not seem to be learning or improving things....and what we keep hearing is we need different players . Many of us saw issues from early days....we are now labelled as negative and revelling when we lose....I'm really seriously pi$$ed off tonight ...yes its Stoke almost our bogey team but it was also the manner of the loss and the team selection that got me.... I'm not revelling tonight I'm hurting

It was clear from the lineup we weren't getting anything out of tonight. It has been a wasted season and a considerable amount of money spent. The sooner it stops the better.

There is a good 4-5-1 lineup there. Obafemi and Wolf out wide, Piroe in the middle with Paterson behind him.

. It's common knowledge down here in South Gower. Fact. I'm sure UJ would concur. Just pop in to Shepherd's for a mocha......you'll see. The point is, Martin seems to get preferential treatment (case in point, lording it in Gower's most luxurious mansion). Excuses are made, he's untouchable, the sheeple fans have fallen for him with undying love. There's none so blind as those who will not see. Oh here we go! I am just trying to be understanding to where we are as a club. We have had our run in the sun for the last 15 years or so, football is a cycle and I understand the term "entitled". As for Martin living in Morgan pad, well Mr Morgan is living it up in Majorca at the moment so his pad was up for rent and obviously Martin has rented it. Shock horror a championship manager is earning a few grand a week to afford to rent Morgans pad. I am not saying Martin is the answer but I am willing to give him a chance to try and put us on the right track after the hole we were in after the play off defeat, losing over half a team and having the manager walk out on us.... Yes, walk out on us after forcing the boards hand. Like it or lump it, give your opinion but if you are basing it on Martin renting Morgans pad and having a mocha in the shepherd's then I am all ears.

He has seen him having a mocha in the shepherd's mum! It is true that he is renting Morgans place. Martin Morgan is now living in Major a currently planning his holiday in the Maldives aswell. Give you an idea, the majority of the players could afford to rent Morgans place. That post by AC is just a witch hunt against Martin, what does it matter where he lives!? Just sounds more a post of jealousy that he is comfortable in one of the nice houses in South Gower and can afford a Mocha in the shepherd's during the day.

Morgan hires the manager….I’m sure he has input with the Yanks…. who then pays him rent. A pretty good financial model that….especially if said manager is failing to deliver.
