Hear me out here. The hairs on the back of my neck stand erect when I hear the Palace Ultras sing, the Kop in full voice, Hammers singing their song, even Chelsea when they warm up to their tune. It just gives a team an identity which we don't have. To me, singing come on your rs repeatedly is a bit dull.
Two weeks ago I was at Celtic Park and I still can't get over how good their fans were. Ninety minutes solid of drums beating, and each song totally different, pure passion.
Best bit for me at QPR is when hi ho silver lining is played and we all sing to it. I was shot down in flames before when I mentioned it but I'd love it to be played just as we kick off so the atmosphere is electric as we kick off. Anyone think this would work?
Saw this today and it is incredible. Hibernian fans singing 'Sunshine on Leith' from the film Sunshine on Leith. I'd just love us to stand out in some way to make other fans envy us for a change. Watch this it's superb, best I have seen.
I seem to remember Al Pacino's speech from Any Given Sunday being shown on the screen while Thunderstruck was being played or was played as the speech came to an end. When we were trying to stay in the Premiere.
That was very stirring or was it my imagination?

When you have only 5 teams in the league/country with any following , Celtic, Rangers, Hibs, Hearts & Aberdeen you can amass that support & sing for 'Scotland ' We're a bit fragmented down here
That's just wrong tbh NoDiddley, there's absolutely no 'Scotland' rallying call for clubs to amass behind, i'd actually say thats a bit of a bizarre statement tbh and tells nothing of the rivalry.
Don't worry though as Smegma will be along to point out that although many are seen to be enjoying themselves there are a significant number who are singing out of tune so shouldn't be considered in any poll of 'Atmosphere/Identity'

Liverpool v QPR had gash atmosphere. 2 minutes of YNWA then 88 minutes of taking photos on their Norwegian and Korean phones.
I went to Celtic v St Johnston about five years ago. Could have heard a pin drop the entire 90.
All clubs have ups and downs in atmosphere. If we are 7th or 21st last few games of the season you'll see something from us.
Pompey best consistent atmosphere for me.

I have to agree re. Pompey. I saw them play away at Wycombe recently and they made one hell of a racket, for most of the game.
RFA
"Things had started becoming increasingly desperate at Loftus Road but QPR have been handed a massive lifeline and the place has absolutely erupted. it's carnage. It's bedlam. It's 1-1."

Call that a recipe? Get a bit of meat in there and might give it a bash.
Possibly wrong thread.....?

The lyrics to this are quite relevant. Not exactly the Clash mind
Blue days, black nights, blue tears keep on fallin' For you dear, now you're gone Blue days, black nights, My heart keeps on callin' For you dear, and you alone Memories of you make me sorry I gave you reason to doubt me7 But now you're gone and I am left here all alone With blue memories, I think of you
Blue days, black nights, I didn't realise I would miss you, the way I do And now somehow I know I will pay For the times I have made you blue Memories of you make me sorry I gave you reason to doubt me But now you're gone and I am left here all alone With blue memories, I think of you
