David Davis on 13:35 - Jul 9 with 3085 views | Juzzie | "The real issue here is that we've not had a proper decent leader since Robin Hood, and neither have we looked anywhere near having one either!" This is, IMO, because anyone who possibly could do the job properly will be in the private sector earning £millions p/a rather than the £150,000 p/a that the PM gets so the people who are in parliament are barrel scrapers who couldn't do a top job in the private sector so we end up with these cretins running (sic) our country.

David Davis on 10:09 - Jul 9 by GloryHunter | I wonder how the Sunderland Nissan workers (for example) would vote now, if there were a second referendum. Most Leave voters had no idea what exactly they were voting for. |
I'm a classic Remainer but I don't agree with this at all. Some people didn't understand, but that's true in every vote and it was as bad on both sides. Problem is that for Remain some people were keen, some were "meh" but everyone voted for the same thing. But for Leave there was a coalition - some wanted to stop immigration, some to get sovereignty, some to stop globalisation, some to open up trade with the USA etc. Arguably you can do all of those things with Brexit, but you can't do all of them at the same time and everything follows from that. It's like having a poll on here to sack McClaren: Yes or No? If 52% vote Yes it doesn't mean people will like the new coach or that anyone decent would come here.

Things are only as complicated as people (in this case politicians) want to make them.

Yeah, brain surgery is really simple if only you don't try to make it complicated. Slice the head open, scoop the brains out, job done. It's all this "keeping the patient alive" crap that makes it so complicated. Health and safety gone mad.

Or: if only people could have realised that they can't have their cake and eat it (as we were all told) - or £350m a week for the NHS. If any EU Country could just leave the club and suddenly be better off they'd all be doing it. The EU will play hardball and leaving without a deal will be financial suicide. Theresa May is not a great PM by any stretch of the imagination but anyone in her position will be screwed as the cabinet and whole of parliament will be split. PS - Clive, I'm sure you're pleased we're off the football nonsense and back on the proper subjects again. [Post edited 9 Jul 2018 15:02]

Not if you had a strong leader and a strong Government it wouldn't have been nor needed to have been the Tories are toast now that's them done for a very, very long time
| And Bowles is onside, Swinburne has come rushing out of his goal , what can Bowles do here , onto the left foot no, on to the right foot

And if QPR had a strong forward line and a solid defence last season we might have gone up. But the facts are the facts.

David Davis on 16:19 - Jul 9 with 2559 views | essextaxiboy | May just said in Parliament" individuals and businesses will not be able to take their case to the ECJ and overule the UK court" Easily the biggest reason why I voted out .
