Swansea City u23 vs Colchester u23 on 20:19 - Jan 25 with 4908 views | jasper_T | 3-2 with half an hour to go. Seem intent to let them back in it whenever we get a 2 goal lead. They've been the better side this half. | | | | Login to get fewer ads

Swansea City u23 vs Colchester u23 on 21:19 - Jan 25 with 4566 views | pencoedjack | I find it bizarre how we have a decent under 23 side but unless we have an injury crisis nobody gets Iinto the 1st team squad. If we shut it down, got rid of the players & flogged this wonderful place they play would we be able to afford a decent players wage? Or will the players be good enough for championship?

Byers is good enough for the Championship. Roberts would do a job. Rodon and James maybe not far off, if they're eased in gently. Aaron Lewis, too. No guarantees any young player makes an impression and kicks one when given a chance (Gorre looked certain to a couple of seasons ago), but you don't win a raffle without being brave enough to give the kids a go here and there. If we sacked them all the money would be spent on 1/3 of a Sanches or 3 months of Mesa/Baston or whatever nonsense our dof cooks up. A decent youth side represents far better entertainment value.
