That's the thing tho. Every season for the last 3 seasons we're looking to achieve 17th posn, rather than looking to boss the lower 2/3rd of the Prem.
Our season ambition is to survive, our weekly ambition is to not loose, our long term ambition is to sell any decent players so we can make money for the greedy fecks who own/run the club.
It's seriously getting to the point now where we would be better off dropping down a league or two. We obviously can't compete, not with this shower of shit who are taking us "to the next level".
At least then maybe we'd go out to play with a smile on our face, try to attack, try to pass and run. This "afraid to make a mistake" bollocks isn't worth the candle. |  | | |

My opinion is we are playing the most boring ineffective dross since we have been in the Premier League.
9 shots in 7 games is not good enough no matter how you try to convince us otherwise.
We were not great last season but at least we had a set piece specialist who could change a game in an instant and one of the best headers of the ball in the league.
This season we are toothless up front lack creativity in the middle.
We have too many ordinary players in the middle and a manager who is to negative and slowly losing the plot.
The next 3 games will decide his future but once you start blaming the players it will only go one way. | |

The chronic under investment in recent years is becoming more damaging each year. It's tempting to say the lessons from at least the past two seasons have not been learned but there seems to be no appetite or indeed interest in learning these lessons. I think we have to accept that this is the way it's going to be. Pity help us next year when the loan signings go and we sell Mawson or whoever to generate the funds that are apparently needed to balance the books. Against this background I really don't see the point in the Swans remaining in the PL. Survival is our only aim before the first ball is kicked, the football is awful and results are worse. I've no problem with grinding out goalless draws away from home and making ourselves hard to beat but we have to be more expansive at home and that's where the wheels come off. | | | |
