Nathan Pond - Fleetwood Captain on 07:03 - May 9 with 3671 views | DomDale | What a numpty. I've never quite understood this supposed hatred from Fleetwood fans towards Blackpool. They've played them 3 times competitively and all within the last 4 seasons. Fleetwood are a rich man's hobby club.

Yep, while Blackpool, a club with a rich football history that includes Stanley Matthews, continues to head towards oblivion.

Were I a fan of one or the other, I'd probably prefer to have Pilley as a chairman than Oyston (though to have two 5-miles-away derby games a year wouldn't seem a bad thing). While L1 isn't blighted by the ownership of people in different continents -as with Man C & U, Leicester, Blackburn etc etc etc - there are enough chairman - Darragh MacAnthony at Posh, Paul Scally at Gillingham, Stewart Day at bury etc - of the sort that makes one grateful for the saintly Mr Dunphy.
