Erm, he hit a bouncing ball. Doesn't sound as good but as it bounced it's not a volley. Anyone for tennis ? |
It wasn't a bouncing ball, it had bounced. Striking the ball while it is in the air is a volley in football.
Tennis? May as well compare a penalty to a penalty in rugby or a cross to a cross in boxing.

GM had it right he's too lazy, I watched him in the last England game and he did next to nothing. He is such a talented player but he believes he is a world beater and all he has to do is turn up. Why did Liverpool get rid of such a talent??? His disciplinary record is abysmal too, at times he's a liability.
IMHO he'll be gone when the window opens, we are just too small for him.

Garry had it wrong as well. He kept playing him in a deeper role when it clearly wasn't working;exposing JJS's shortcomings and costing us points. | | | |

He wouldn't take a player who can't get in the Swansea team, even if he thought Jonjo was the key to winning the tournament. He won't take the risk of being slaughtered and losing his job.
