Not looking for some mad alternative xmas songs. Just the 'classics' please.
Best - Driving Home For Christmas. Who doesn't love a bit of Chris Rea at Christmas?! I'll tell you who. F**king ISIS, that's who.
Worst - Simply Having a Wonderful Christmas Time. C*nt song by a c*nt. Unlistenable shit to be fair. Bleak, cold, awful. Pretentious video too. I f**king hate him and I'll be glad when the c*nt is dead apart from the fact that we'll be inundated with shitty Beatles songs for a couple of weeks.
Look at it. F**king disgrace. It ruins EVERYTHING.
EDIT: note, I haven't checked the vids. They could be f**king anything to be fair.

Stefan Moore, Stefan Moore running down the wing. Stefan Moore, Stefan Moore running down the wing. He runs like a cheetah, his crosses couldn't be sweeter. Stefan Moore. Stefan Moore. Stefan Moore.

I've been laid up in bed for a few days with a chest infection and this has become an earworm!
That would be up there if I had to do a "personal faves" of Crimble tunes.
In all honesty most a crud but they are what they are.... tinsel wrapped and with a shelf life of 2 and a half weeks (or 4 months if you are a retailer)
My favourite has to be:-
The worst list is endless. It would have to be something by Cliff Richard singing about the saviours day and Christ is born to save the upper middle class

We always comment on that drum - I think Don Powell had a terrible accident and returned to the band to play drums after being in a coma for sometime so not sure if that had something to do with it
Now I know he is vilified generally and I'm with everyone on that but I have fond memories of listening to this as my mum had his Spanish Train Album and I still secretly like it to my ultimate shame
Listen to the Bob Harris R2 Sunday show [Play Again ] lots of class Christmas songs on it none of the obvious shite... though Chris Rea is on it which is OK with me
BTW 3am what a shambles BBC radio is

That clip looks to me from the 80s when Slade made a bit of a comeback. I think MXE made a chart re-entry in 1983. Don Powell's car accident was in 1973 so I don't think it's anything to do with that, I think it;s just him pissing about and having a laugh which they wouldn't have got away with on TOTP.

I have to say I was mad about Phil Spector sound at the time so his Christmas Gift LP sounded knockout to my impressionable ears.
It was promoted by a TV programme showing Ronettes, Crystals etc all singing all the album numbers - I loved it but video doesn't seem to be available now? Worst bit however was the schmalzy 'Silent Night' with speakover by the little man himself.
