The Karl Oyston List of Shame 14:50 - Nov 12 with 18363 viewsOrioltwins

I'm wondering if we can list all his footballing misdemeanours (so keep it to football and one suggestion per post). If we can get to 100 I'll donate £100 to Children in Need on Friday!

1. The utter disgrace that he sacked Steve Thompson

Poll: Will a points deduction by FL be this or next season?

33. Pretending that the Oyston family rebuilt Bloomfield Road, when the great majority of it was paid for by others (The Football Trust and Mr V. Belekon).

34. Hiding the Ormerod money
35. Hiding the Adam money
36. Hiding the DJ Campbell money
37. Hiding the Matt Phillips money
38. Hiding the Tom Ince money
... and so on.

39. Failing to install a proper pitch insulation or heating system, so that when we got to the Prem our home games in the winter were all postponed just when we were on a roll... relegation followed.

Buying the cheapest grass seed available so that at the very time we had the best quality football and most technically able players in the 35 years I've supported the club. We had a pitch which actively countered this and was better suited to the hoof it and chase mentality.

43. The cynical deception of the Riga Revolution.

44. The hypocrisy of a family who's wealth was built on Estate Agency fees, refusing to deal with Agents. Followed by the ridiculous suggestion that they were championing the football cause against evil agents, whilst all the time leaching the cash into their own accounts.

48. Positioning the big screen so that a block of seats in the East could not be used as couldn't see the South goal. Lost a lot of revenue there by crass mismanagement / incompetence

It will absolutely change the club forever if we go up. It can’t fail to

61. Not having a functional scouting network to identify young prospects.
Kerrrryyyste, we used to rely on Ollie's wife watching DVDs in her spare evenings, but at least there was some scouting then.

64. Engineering a decline from play off finalists to relegation certainties in 24 months, despite the club recieving £90 million.

65. Destroying any sense of us being a 'club'

66. Taking away the chance of a generation to build the club in to something the town can be proud of, not that those who don't live in the area care about such things.

"The money has not been taken out of the football club to pay for this hotel, but the money will be borrowed to build the hotel in part or whole"
